Even one-sixteenth of the rain cannot be endured. As long as those feelings created by karma have not been destroyed, abandoned, and exhausted, so long will he be burned in the eleven-flamed hell for millions of years. Boiled. Then he will be liberated from that hell, and even if he is liberated, if he is not reborn as a hungry ghost or an animal due to the karma of having to experience other times, but is fortunate enough to be reborn as a human being like people, then due to the similar cause of cutting off the lips, he will always be tormented by hunger and thirst, all limbs will be burned, poor and short-lived, words will not be trusted, very stupid, ugly in appearance, with crippled hands and feet, filthy, entering the evil home of the three-way intersection and the four-way intersection, and will be very miserable for a lifetime. Then, another monk, knowing the ripening of karmic results, contemplates the surroundings of the great crying hell, he does not see any of the seventeenth surroundings of that great hell. The Holy Dharma Mindfulness Sutra, Volume Eleven. Then, another yogi, a monk who abides in the Dharma within the Dharma, contemplating the Dharma, is thus peaceful, without aging and death, without defilements, entering the path of Nirvana, his diligence is seen by the earth-god yakshas, from telling the gods who walk in the sky, widely spreading to the gods of little light, like this in Jambudvipa, a son of such and such a lineage, from widely spreading to entering between the other ten lands, not desiring the territory of Mara, abiding together with the objects of lust arising from the abundance of joyful desire, not abiding together with the objects of all defilements, when the gods of little light hear this, the side of Mara declines, and the side of the Holy Dharma rises prominently, and they will be delighted. Then, another monk, knowing the ripening of karmic results, striving to cut the bonds of samsara, thinks thus: Alas!

These sentient beings are suffering, deluded by craving, bound by the universal union of ignorance, and in accordance with drowsy minds. Even though they are tormented in the three times, they do not strive to cut off the cycle of existence. Do these sentient beings have no heart? Or is there something in their hearts that they do not understand? Or even if they understand, do they not become weary of it? What is the consciousness of these sentient beings? If these sentient beings were to dwell in the heavens for a long time, they should also become weary of it. How much more so, since their minds are so hard and unyielding? Even though they experience suffering from all sorts of harmful things, they do not become weary. For a long time, the mind that follows drowsiness has five incompatibilities, namely: aging, sickness, death, encountering unpleasant things, and separation from pleasant things. Furthermore, there are ten harms of faults that arise: the fault of hunger and thirst, the fault of separation from pleasant things, the fault of going from one place to another, the fault of death and birth, the fault of being despised by others, the fault of being destroyed by others, the fault of cold and heat, the fault of being divided, the fault of the decline of wealth, and the fault of desire. In short, even though the mind is clearly harmed by these ten faults, alas, these unhappy sentient beings! Alas, from beginningless time, the mind is agitated like an enemy, without ears or heart, a mind like stone and diamond, never rejoicing in the many objects and the sacred Dharma. For craving, which is like poison, weapons, and fire, they are always unable to be satisfied. Therefore, for the five objects that are like poison, the six internal and external sources that are like robbers, they do not understand the seven branches of enlightenment, they are not happy to walk the eightfold noble path, they do not understand the nine abodes of sentient beings, they do not understand the ten paths of virtuous action, they are foolish in the classification of the eleven grounds, and they are skilled in wise and unwise behavior regarding the arising and abiding of the twelve sources.

Being foolish in the thirteen ignorant behaviors, accompanied by the fourteen objects of the mind, unable to bear the fifteen harms, being possessed by the sixteen darknesses of sin, having the seventeen extreme discriminations of a child, the eighteen holes where feelings arise, the nineteen streets where beings wander, the twenty places where enemies dwell, realizing that the mind is deceived by these twenty, and thereby generating compassion for beings. The monk diligently discerns the ripening of the Dharma of karma, thus, he constantly strives to cut the bonds of Mara, and again generates wisdom. Through the wisdom arising from hearing, he sees that, apart from the hell called "Weeping," there is an extremely sinful hell, another great hell called "Hot," aroused by sinful deeds, which is ten times more painful than the great hell of "Weeping." The sixteen attendants are: extreme heat, like a white lotus, like a coiled snake, fish swimming in molten copper, iron pot, flowing red river, many worms on legs and bones, burning all beings, endless abyss, like a great lotus, extreme terror, bones arising and gathering like vajra, cutting with black iron wire, heat, worm Nata, wheel, arising terrifyingly like fire, forest fire dense like darkness, armor harmed by vajra-like bees. These are the sixteen attendants of the great hot hell, where life cannot be counted. He wonders, by what karma will beings be born there? He observes through the wisdom arising from hearing, it is because of constantly practicing and increasing killing, taking what is not given, sexual misconduct, drinking alcohol, lying, wrong views, and constantly practicing and increasing the accumulation of karma and the completion of all karmas. This being, after separating from the body, falls into evil destinies and wrong paths.
