偷盗，以及行邪淫，都应当恒常修习和串习，使其增多，这和前面说的一样。如果有人因为得了不治之症，或者妇女生孩子，为了得到酒的报酬或价值，而给予布料或食物，那么此人死后会堕入恶趣，转生到众生地狱，即阎罗王的边境寺庙。在那里会发生这些损害，例如，阎罗王手下那些口中燃烧着熊熊烈火的人会吞噬他的脚和指甲等。吞噬之后，还会发生损害，例如，直到他的罪业被摧毁、舍弃和耗尽之前，那些燃烧着熊熊烈火的短矛尖端会烹煮、焚烧、折磨和杀死他无数亿年。此人会从那个众生地狱中解脱，解脱之后，如果因为还有其他需要感受的业力，没有转生为饿鬼和畜生，而是和人类一样转生为人，那么由于与那个业力相符的原因，他会出生在恶劣的地方、恶劣的住所和恶劣的山谷中，以养猪为生，并且会变成瞎子。此外，比丘，如果了解业果成熟的道理，观察大号叫地狱的周围，他会通过听闻而获得的智慧，看到有一个叫做尸林刺树林的地狱。他心想，哪些众生会转生到那里呢？于是他进行观察，发现那些杀生、 偷盗，以及行邪淫，这和前面说的一样。饮酒，是指用非常多的东西混合那些能使酒变得非常醉人的物质。那些酒有的像酸奶，有的像水，有的像乳浆，像这样调制之后，灌给进入荒野寺庙的商队首领，那些酒会使人醉酒，并且非常醉人。所有的人都喝得酩酊大醉，然后他杀死那些醉酒的人，抢走他们所有的财物，因为他欺骗了他们，所以他在世间被称为盗贼。由于这种业力的驱使，此人死后会堕入恶趣，转生到众生地狱，即巨大的尸林刺树地狱。

If someone, because they have contracted an incurable disease, or a woman has given birth, gives cloth or food in exchange for the reward or value of alcohol, then that person, after death, will fall into a bad rebirth, being born in a sentient being hell, namely the border monastery of Yama. There, these harms will occur, for example, the feet and nails, etc., will be eaten by the mouths of Yama's people, who are blazing and intensely burning. After being eaten, harm will still occur, for example, as long as that person's sinful actions have not been destroyed, abandoned, and exhausted, the tips of short spears that are blazing intensely will cook, burn, torment, and kill him for countless billions of years. That person will be liberated from that sentient being hell, and after being liberated, if due to karma that still needs to be experienced in other instances, they are not born as pretas or animals, but are born as humans, sharing the same fate as humans, then due to the result that is in accordance with that karma, they will be born in bad places, bad dwellings, and bad mountain valleys, living by raising pigs, and will become blind. Furthermore, monks, if one understands the ripening of the fruits of karma, and examines the surroundings of the great crying hell, then through the wisdom that arises from hearing, he will see that there is a hell called the Shalmali Tree Grove. He wonders, which sentient beings will be born there? So he examines and finds that those who kill, steal, and engage in sexual misconduct, it is the same as before. Drinking alcohol means mixing those substances that make alcohol extremely intoxicating with a great deal of other things. Some of those alcohols are like yogurt, some are like water, and some are like whey. After preparing them in this way, he feeds them to the caravan leaders who enter the wilderness monasteries. That alcohol makes people drunk and extremely intoxicated. Everyone gets extremely drunk, and then he kills those drunk people and steals all their possessions. Because he deceived them, he is called a thief in the world. Driven by this karma, that person, after death, will fall into a bad rebirth, being born in a sentient being hell, namely the great Shalmali Tree Grove hell.

Only then will he be liberated, and even after liberation, if he is not reborn as a preta or animal due to the karma of having to experience other times, but is reborn as a human with the same fortune as humans, then due to the fruit corresponding to that karma, his eyes will be black, always angry and full of jealousy, which can be seen. Then, O monk, that one who knows the ripening of the fruits of karma, observing the surroundings of the great Avici hell, through the knowledge gained from hearing, sees that there is a grove of great Silk-cotton trees. He thinks, what kind of beings will be born there? He observes that those who always practice and cultivate killing, taking what is not given, and sexual misconduct, and increase them, when they die, will fall into evil destinies and be reborn in that hell, just as before. If one is controlled by alcohol, disguises oneself as a Simha and feeds it to many people living in remote monasteries, then upon death, he will fall into evil destinies and be reborn in the hell of the great Silk-cotton tree. Due to the fruit of feeding alcohol, these harms will occur there, such as the Silk-cotton tree created by karma, which is one yojana in height, with leaves like razors, branches like burning flames, emitting smoke, and producing wind like poison; this is what is caused by the karma of alcohol. Even if one is harmed by wind like poison within a yojana, one will not die. In any case, the forest of the great Silk-cotton tree...
