因感受业力而未转生为饿鬼和旁生，却与人类有缘而转生为人的，那人会变得贫穷，成为山岩、寺庙、恐惧和山岩之人的仆役。各种疾病会让他经常生病。然后，那位比丘观察大焦热地狱的轮转，他以闻所生的智慧见到名为“如莲花裂开”的大焦热地狱。在那里，他想知道哪些众生会转生于此，他看到那些杀生、不予而取、行邪淫并积聚恶业的人，会转生到如莲花裂开的地狱。其中，杀生和不予而取与之前一样。邪淫是指那些发誓成为僧侣的人，对过去的欲望念念不忘，品尝其滋味并加以思念。由于品尝不如理作意的滋味，夜晚睡觉时，会在梦中与那位女子交合。醒来后，仍然品尝梦中所见不净行的滋味并加以思念，随喜赞叹，并认为这是美德，与此相习，不断增长，并对此感到欢喜。那么，此人死后堕入恶趣，转生到如莲花裂开的地狱。在那里会发生这些损害，例如，就像变成莲花的颜色一样，那里的一切景象都变成红色。那些地狱众生在罐子里被煮，在铁臼里被铁杵捣。他们从那些痛苦中解脱后，从远处看到大湖中生长的蓝色莲花，那些地狱众生想要寻求庇护，想要得到救护，那些被饥渴折磨的身体想要从那些损害中解脱，心想我们应该获得安乐，于是就跳入其中。成百上千的众生跳入那朵莲花之中。跳入时，道路上竖立的木桩会刺伤他们的脚，脚因此受伤。

Due to experiencing the karma, if one is not reborn as a preta or animal, but is reborn as a human with the same fate as humans, that person will become poor and become a servant of rocks, monasteries, fears, and rocky people. Various diseases will make him constantly ill. Then, that monk contemplates the wheel of the great scorching hell. With the wisdom arising from hearing, he sees the great scorching hell called "like a lotus cracking open." There, he wonders which beings will be born there. He sees that those who kill, steal, commit adultery, and accumulate evil deeds will be born in the hell that cracks open like a lotus. Among them, killing and stealing are the same as before. Adultery refers to those who have vowed to become monks, who dwell on past desires, savor their taste, and contemplate them. Because of savoring the taste of improper attention, when sleeping at night, they will have intercourse with that woman in their dreams. Even after waking up, they still savor the taste of the impure conduct dreamed in the dream and contemplate it again, rejoice and praise it, and regard it as a virtue, become accustomed to it, increase it, and rejoice in it. Then, after that person dies, he falls into evil destinies and is reborn in the hell that cracks open like a lotus. There, these harms will occur, for example, just as it becomes the color of a lotus, all the appearances there become red. Those hell beings are cooked in pots and pounded with iron pestles in iron mortars. After they are freed from those sufferings, they see from afar a blue lotus growing in a great lake. Those hell beings want to seek refuge, want to be saved, those bodies tormented by hunger and thirst want to be freed from those harms, thinking that we should attain happiness, so they jump into it. Hundreds or thousands of beings jump into that lotus. When jumping in, the stakes erected on the road will pierce their feet, and their feet will be injured.

they will fall to the ground. Those who fall face down will be pierced by the stakes. If they later fall on their backs, those stakes will pierce and penetrate their backs. If they fall on their sides, the stakes will also pierce their chests. If they sit down, the stakes will enter from below. As they are burned and cooked, they will call out to one another, and those beings who are extremely tormented by thirst and hunger will call out to one another and weep. All those who are in a state of sorrow and lamentation, as they look at the lotus and sit there, the people of Yama will strike them from behind with swords, battle-axes, large arrows, and short spears. Thus, those hell beings who desire protection, desire refuge, and desire coolness will go to the lotus by some means and climb upon it. That lotus is also filled with flames like sandalwood embers, and they climb on the leaves that are as hard as vajras, and those leaves will also become bent. Thus, due to the evil use of the end of karma, and the evil deeds that have been done, as long as their sinful deeds that have been done and accumulated have not been destroyed, abandoned, and exhausted, they will be boiled and cooked in that hell that is like a lotus that has split open for hundreds of years, thousands of years, or millions of years, but they will not pass from that time. Afterwards, they will be liberated, and even after liberation, if they are not born as pretas or animals due to other karma that needs to be experienced, but are born as humans with a connection to humans, then due to the power of the deeds they have done and accumulated, they will become blind, immoral, poor, and short-lived. Then, that monk again observed the great hell called the Wheel of Gathering and Crushing. He saw the hell called the Great Lotus Split Open. He wondered, by what karma will those beings be born there? He saw that they universally relied upon and cultivated killing, taking what is not given, and sexual misconduct, and increased them, therefore they will be born in that hell called the Great Lotus Split Open.
