The hairs that are born burn completely, and all are incinerated. The mind is like a monkey, wandering in various ways on a mountain like sleep, as firm as the face of a wandering mountain, dwelling on the top of a mountain like fat, wandering in a mountain hermitage like evil views, acting like a dense forest of trees born from arrogance. Anger dwells in a crevice like a rock. Jealousy is like the fruit of accumulated merits, and craving is like the force of falling into a river. As much as they have not destroyed, abandoned, and exhausted the waves of non-virtue, they do not make the time of death. After those beings are freed from the dark cycle of hell, if they are not born as pretas and animals, but share the same fate as the impure and are born among humans, they will always be bound by the fruit that matches the cause, and they will tend to have short lives. Furthermore, monks, he should contemplate the hell of sentient beings, the sixth cycle of rebirth called "Universally Disagreeable." What karma causes sentient beings to be born in the hell of "Universally Disagreeable"? He investigates with the wisdom born from hearing that those who have a manifest hostile mind towards sentient beings are always diligent in killing. They frighten sentient beings wandering in the forest with the sounds of conches, drums, cymbals, and buzzing bees, such as mountain deer, birds, lions, bears, wolves, monkeys, and other beings who wander without fear. If kings or ministers harbor malice, and then hunters follow with the intention to kill, they will fall into evil destinies after abandoning their bodies and will be born in the hell of sentient beings called "Universally Disagreeable." The fruit arises in accordance with the cause. Just as those sentient beings have created "Universally Disagreeable," so those sentient beings are thrown into the fire of the hell of sentient beings. Then crows, owls, vultures, dogs, rakshasas, and foxes, with their sharp beaks and extremely terrifying sounds, cut off and devour their ears from the roots. The sound, which is extremely terrifying, unpleasant, ugly, and repulsive, and which frightens all beings, will cause most of the "Universally Disagreeable" to be engraved in the mind and take away their lives.

Like a crow's beak, like a vajra, again and again entering between and inside the bones, gnawing at the ears. The mind, like a fish, wanders in the river of desire, stirred by the waves of anger, dwelling in the valley of samsara, bound by greed, hatred, and ignorance, and by the saliva-like bonds of craving for tiny tastes, wandering in evil views as deep as water. This body of beings in birth and death, always craving for sound, touch, taste, form, and smell, delights in unwholesome deeds, and after doing them, emits cries, and the time of death does not come until the retribution is experienced. Here is a verse: One's own desires dwell in the city, the mind is like a fish, deluded by ignorance, when doing deeds, one happily clings, but when experiencing retribution, one weeps. Whenever unwholesome deeds are done, they should be destroyed and abandoned without remainder. Once they are gone, from then on, after death, one will be reborn as a hungry ghost or an animal. In other instances, experiencing the results of karma, if one is not reborn for that reason. If not for that reason, one will be with people, equally reborn as a human. That person is always oppressed and despised by the lowly, and joy will not arise in their mind. Whatever one does, one will meaninglessly make joy disappear, sons, wives, wealth, and grain, killing and binding, that is because of unwholesome deeds, the cause and effect of no joy, one always hears unpleasant sounds. Furthermore, the monk contemplates beings in the seventh layer of the reviving hell, experiencing intense suffering. He thinks: What kind of beings will be reborn there? Then he observes with the wisdom that arises from hearing. Those beings with strong habits, strong hatred, and strong malicious intent, mostly indulge in negligent killing. After they leave the body, they fall into bad destinies and are reborn in the hell of beings who experience intense suffering. There, suffering adorned with heat, weapons, fire, abysses, cliffs, stakes, and burning chains of flames, will descend continuously like a single day. Then, the monk, understanding the truth of the fruits of karma, while seeking the city of nirvana,
