And how does a bhikkhu abiding in yoga know karma, dharma, and maturation, and see that all sentient beings depend on the mind? He sees that the aspects of the mind are dominated by the mind and deceived by the mind. The practitioner of yoga, abiding and observing the inner dharma according to the dharma, sees with the wisdom born of hearing or the divine eye that all sentient beings depend on the karma of the mind, and that the aspects of the karma of the mind depend on the mind. Alas, how will these sentient beings, who wander in many paths from beginningless and endless samsara, transform? He sees with the wisdom born of hearing or the divine eye that the minds of sentient beings are bound by defilements and liberated by purification. There are many aspects of the mind, with the five aspects of beings distinguished by the differences in objects, the differences in nature, and the differences in realms of existence. With the difference of a good basis, having leisure and endowment, and the activity of universal combination, and the mind with latent tendencies that is truly possessed, and the three, such as space, that are not always possessed, there are five aspects. Moreover, the differences in faculties are immeasurable. With the differences in various places of craving, in short, this aspect of defilement arises from five things from the mind. How does it transform into the aspect of purification? It is the three antidotes to the three roots of affliction. The teachings of all the perfectly enlightened Buddhas of the past and future are the instructions of the true path, namely: for desire, it is ugliness; for hatred, it is love; for ignorance, it is dependent origination. When desire arises in the body, he abides in that body and analyzes it, analyzing between the foot, nails, color, limbs, and coarse parts, what is self? What is mine? Thus, observing the aspects of his own limbs, the foot and nails are different from the body. What is it that pride arises in? This is not the nail and the body, the toenail is not the body or the self. What is it that pride arises in? This is not the sole of the foot, the shin is not the self or the body. Foot

Is the heel "I" or not the body? Is the aggregate "I" or not the body? Are the hip bone and buttock "I" or not the body? Is the anus "I" or not the body? Are the forty-five bones that make up the spine "I" or not the body? Is the back of the neck "I" or not the body? Are the bones that make up the face "I" or not the body? Bhikshu, if he analyzes, he will not see the body as something different in meaning, nor will he see the body in each part. Even if he analyzes, he will not see the body. In the "eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind," he does not see the body or "I," because there is no "I." Therefore, separating the body into tiny particles, he sees his body like a mustard seed or powder. He analyzes the great elements, thinking, "Which is 'I'? Is the earth element 'I'? Is the water element 'I'? Is the fire element 'I'? Is the wind element 'I'?" If, in reality, he does not see the element of "I," and because he does not see the element of "I," he does not see something different in meaning. For example, when many trees are gathered together, people see a grove, but each tree itself is not a grove. In reality, the so-called grove, other than the trees, there is no other grove. Truly speaking, the trees, other than the bark, roots, branches, leaves, and shoots, have nothing else that is different in meaning. But in conventional truth, there is a grove. Likewise, this body is also just an aggregation of hands, etc. In conventional truth, people will have the cognition that "this is the body." He thinks, by understanding the suchness of the dharma of the body, he will be free from attachment to the body, and he will also be free from attachment to the parts and limbs of the body. When he is free from attachment, the craving that arises from the attachment of joy will not cause harm. Therefore, he strives diligently to counteract attachment. How then does one strive diligently to counteract hatred? He will abide in loving-kindness. Alas, these sentient beings are in distress! For example, birth, death, transmigration, and arising in the five realms are all caught in the five fears, and compassion arises like a mother for those beings who are like the bones of a dead body. How can one generate anger towards these suffering sentient beings who are like wounds smeared with salt? Those sentient beings
