Thus, the monk who seeks that (suchness) will, in this way, give rise to pure Dharma. For example, when sugarcane is placed in a vessel and boiled with fire, it first melts and becomes impure, which is called impure sugarcane. When boiled a second time, it becomes white and is recognized as sugarcane. When boiled a third time, it becomes very white. Just as the sugarcane is boiled in this way, it becomes very pure. Similarly, the monk, with the vessel of contemplation and the fire of wisdom, completely boils the stream of mind like sugarcane. Its foam is like attaining the first dhyana, and its whiteness is like attaining the second dhyana. In this way, as the monk's stream of mind is boiled by the fire of wisdom, the uncontaminated Dharma becomes very white, very pure, and very flawless. When karma turns away, purity, whiteness, and cleanliness arise. Furthermore, that monk can discern those extremely subtle feelings, that is, the feeling of a certain being, arising from the contact of the eye sense, whether subtle or coarse, impure, and full of ignorance, which is eliminated and abandoned by a certain coarse feeling, leaving remnants. The feeling of the ear, the feeling of the nose, the feeling of the tongue, and the feeling of the body are also the same. When that monk is so diligent, joyful, and destroys the army of Mara, the earth-dwelling yakshas and the space-faring yakshas will also report to the Four Great Kings. The earth-dwelling yakshas, the space-faring yakshas, and the Four Great Kings will also report to the gods of the Four Great Kings. The earth-dwelling yakshas, the space-faring yakshas, the Four Great Kings, and the gods of the Four Great Kings will also report to Indra, the lord of the gods. Indra, riding on the elephant king, the son of Earth Protector, joyfully reports to the gods of No-Conflict, as before. The gods of No-Conflict also...

Being delighted with the gods, holding various jewels, the body adorned with garlands of gods, decorated with various kinds of incense, sounds, tactile sensations, forms, and scents that are pleasing and incomparably blissful. With the power of great joy, among the gods of Tushita, houses made of the seven precious things, immeasurable palaces, and various kinds of cities are adorned, having forty thousand yojanas. In the place called "Measured by Mind," the bodhisattva's mansion has ten million kotis of yojanas. In the place called "Going Without Leakage," the Blessed One, Maitreya Bodhisattva, dwells together with five hundred bodhisattvas. The gods of No-Conflict, being exceedingly joyful, draped their robes over one shoulder, knelt on the ground, bowed their heads, and joined their palms in supplication: "O gods, just as in the land of karma in Jambudvipa, in a certain large city, a certain town, a certain place, a certain son of a certain lineage from a certain caste, having shaved his hair and beard, donned saffron robes, and with faith renounced the household life to go forth into homelessness. He diligently practices, reveres the guru, seeks the truth of the unpolluted Dharma, and having seen the truth of feeling, enters the fourth ground, destroys the forces of Mara, strengthens the bridge of the sacred Dharma, extensively teaches the white Dharma, condemns the forces of Mara, and increases the power of the gods. We announce this to you, the gods." The gods of No-Conflict, having heard that Maitreya had caused the power of the gods to increase, said: "O gods, like this, whoever makes the forces of Mara weak, makes the forces of the sacred Dharma manifestly high, liberates from the afflictions, and destroys the armies of Mara, I am exceedingly pleased." Furthermore, that bhikshu, having truly seen the collection of six feelings in brief, how does the dharma of the ground of the feeling aggregate enter the fifth ground? If the yogi, by abiding in the inner dharma, contemplates according to the dharma, then that bhikshu sees the truth of feeling, and has completed the karma of the collection of six feelings, as well as the aggregate of perception.
