This with apertures is called the outer space realm. Among them, the space realm of the inner form's appearance, and the realm where those outer ones are combined into one, is merely a realm. All those are not mine, those are not me, those are not me and mine; like this, having seen those with true wisdom as they truly are, the mind towards the space realm becomes free from desire, and having seen those, one will not fall into it. All those are not mine, those are not me, those are not me and mine; the space realm where the maker has not made a place, and the feeler has not made a place, the mind will become free from desire. Among them, what is the mind realm? The twelve sources and being fully equipped is the mind realm. The eye consciousness sees the object, and the mind consciousness subsequently experiences it; similarly, the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind consciousnesses are the root from which the mind consciousness realm arises. Here are verses: Mind is the preceding dharma, mind is swift, mind is the goer, mind with extremely clear power, can speak and can distinguish. After the characteristics of sin are eliminated, knowing death and birth, knowing the karmic result itself, one obtains the state of immortality. Whoever holds all the senses, delights in benefiting all beings, the senses are happy, peaceful, and tamed, such a one is a bhikshu. How does one abide in the six senses, repelling the enemy of desire? The brave one who possesses wisdom, he obtains the state of peace. Delighting in dwelling in solitude, abiding in the place of meditation, just as clouds in the sky are scattered by the wind, sinful dharmas are destroyed. The limits of body, speech, and mind actions are virtuous, conduct is virtuous and truly joyful, observing that itself and acting skillfully, one destroys what is created by Mara. Greed and so on do not harm, and there is no craving for a virtuous mind, having much love and compassion, the bhikshu certainly abides in renunciation. Whoever does not desire the cause of the bonds of objects, form and so on, that one goes to the supreme peace, and wherever he goes, he is not afflicted by defilements. What other good is there then, bhikshu?

This and the eighteen mental discriminations, the first ground different from the second ground, on the ground of knowing the nature of the six realms, does it now enter the ground of mindfulness of the Dharma? Thus thinking, the yogi observes the Dharma internally, abiding in contemplation of the Dharma, with the wisdom arising from hearing, or observing with the divine eye, enters a ground different from the third ground. If that monk is seen, what is his different ground? It is said that the mutual transformation of mind is a different ground, he knows the arising of pleasure, knows the arising of suffering, knows mental pleasure, knows mental displeasure, knows equanimity, knows slight pleasure, relying on the contact that experiences pleasure, pleasure arises. When he experiences this pleasure, he truly knows that he is experiencing pleasure. Furthermore, when the contact that experiences pleasure ceases, when experiencing the feeling that arises from the contact that experiences pleasure, he knows that my pleasure has ceased, thus separately realizing the cessation of feeling. My pleasure is close to pacification, and suffering arises, separately realizing the suffering that arises from conditions. My pleasure arises, they are separately realized. As the contact that experiences pleasure has been explained, so the experience of suffering should also be extensively and truly explained. What is knowing mental pleasure? It is said that mental pleasure arises from relying on the contact that is the basis of mental pleasure. What is separately realizing mental displeasure? It is said that mental displeasure arises from relying on the contact that is the basis of mental displeasure. Thus, he truly recollects the contact that is the basis of mental pleasure, seeing the cessation of the contact that is the basis of mental pleasure, he becomes detached from mental pleasure. If my mental pleasure has arisen before, it ceases and is pacified, and with detachment, from that arises his detachment, truly and separately experiencing. Likewise, mental displeasure should also be spoken of, and equanimity should also be spoken of in the same way.
