་ཕྱིས་ཡི་དགས་ཀྱི་འཇིག་རྟེན་བཤང་བ་ཟ་བ་དེ་ལས་ཐར་བར་འགྱུར་ཏེ། ཐར་ནས་ཀྱང་ལས་དེ་དང་རྒྱུ་འཐུན་པར་ཇི་ལྟར་ལས་ཉེ་བར་འགྲོ་བས་འཁོར་བ་ན་ཡོངས་སུ་འཁྱམ་མོ། །དེ་གལ་ཏེ་ཡང་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ནང་དུ་གཉའ་ཤིང་གི་བུ་གར་རུས་སྦལ་འཇུག་པ་ལྟ་བུར་མི་རྣམས་དང་སྐལ་བ་མཉམ་པར་མིར་སྐྱེས་ན། དེ་དབུལ་ཞིང་ནད་བུ་ཅན་ལ་བཟའ་བ་ཉུང་བ་དང་། སྲོག་གི་འཚོ་བ་རྟག་ཏུ་གཞན་ལ་རག་ལས་ཤིང་ཚེགས་ཆེན་པོས་འཚོ་བ་འཐོབ་ལ་དོན་དུ་མ་མེད་པའི་སྣོད་དུ་འགྱུར། སེམས་ཤེས་པ་དང་མི་ཤེས་པ་ཕལ་པ་ཡིན་ཞིང་ལུས་རྨ་མཚན་དང་དྲི་མ་ཅན་མི་སྡུག་པ་སྐྱེ་བོ་ཀུན་གྱིས་ སྨད་པར་འགྱུར། དེའི་ཁ་ནས་ཀྱང་དྲི་མནམ་པོ་འབྱུང་ཞིང་གློ་བུར་དུ་སོ་ནག་པོར་འགྱུར་བ་མཐོང་ངོ་། །དེ་ནས་ཡང་དགེ་སློང་ལས་ཀྱི་འབྲས་བུ་རྣམ་པར་སྨིན་པ་ཤེས་པ་དེས་སེར་སྣའི་གནས་སུ་གྱུར་པའི་ཡི་དགས་ཀྱི་འཇིག་རྟེན་ལ་བརྟགས་ན། དེས་ཐོས་པ་ལས་བྱུང་བའི་ཤེས་པས་སེར་སྣ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་གནས་སུ་གྱུར་པ་ཡི་དགས་ཁ་ཟས་མེད་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་མཐོང་ངོ་། །དེར་ལས་གང་གིས་སྐྱེ་བར་འགྱུར་སྙམ་ནས་དེས་ཐོས་པ་ལས་བྱུང་བའི་ཤེས་པས་བརྟགས་ན། སྐྱེས་པའམ་བུད་མེད་སེར་སྣས་ཟིལ་གྱིས་ནོན་ཅིང་ཕྲག་དོག་གི་ཟིལ་གྱིས་ནོན་པ་དང་། གཡོ་ཐབས་སམ་སླུ་བར་བྱེད་པ་སྟོབས་དང་ལྡན་པ་གང་གིས་སེམས་ཅན་དག་བཅིང་བས་བཅིངས་ཏེ། ཁ་ཟས་མ་བྱིན་པས་སྲོག་དང་ཕྲལ་ལ། སྲོག་དང་ཕྲལ་ནས་ཀྱང་སྙིང་ནས་འཆགས་པར་མི་བྱེད་ལ་འགྱོད་པར་མི་བྱེད། ཡང་ལས་དེ་ཉིད་བྱས་ནས་རྗེས་སུ་དགའ་བར་བྱེད་ཅིང་གཞན་དག་ཀྱང་དེ་ཉིད་ལ་རབ་ཏུ་འཇོག་པར་བྱེད། ལས་དང་ལས་ཀྱི་ཉེར་བསྡོགས་དང་། ལས་ཀྱི་མཇུག་དག་བྱས་ནས་ཡང་དེ་ཉིད་བྱེད་ན་དེ་ལུས་དང་བྲལ་ནས་ངན་འགྲོ་ལོག་པར་ལྟུང་བ་ཡི་དགས་ཁ་ཟས་མེད་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ནང་དུ་སྐྱེ་བར་འགྱུར་རོ། །སྐྱེས་པ་དེའམ། བུད་མེད་དེ་དེར་སྐྱེས་ནས་ཁ་ཟས་མེད་པར་བྱས་ནས་བཀྲེས་པ་དང་སྐོམ་པར་བྱས་པ་མེ་དེས་སྲེག་པ་ན་ཡང་དང་ཡང་དུ་རི་ལས་ཆུ་འབབ་པའི་ཤུགས་ལྟར་བཀྲེས་པ་དང་སྐོམ་པའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་མང་དུ་འཕེལ་ལོ། །དེའི་ཁ་ཟས་མེད་པར་བྱས་པའི་མཐུ་དེས་ཇི་ལྟར་ཐལ་བ་ཡང་མི་མངོན་པ་དེ་ལྟར་དེའི་ནང་དང་ཡན་ལག་དང་ཉིང་ལག་ཐམས་ཅད་སྲེག་གོ །དེ་ནས་ཡང་ཡན་ལག་དང་ཉིང་ལག་དེ་དག་སླར་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར་ཏེ། ཡང་སྲེག་པར་བྱེད་དོ། །དེ་བཀྲེས་པ་དང་སྐོམ་པས་གདུངས་པ་དང་། ལུས་བསྲེགས་པ་སྟེ། སྡུག་བསྔལ་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་སྲེག་པ་ན་རང་གི་ལས་ཀྱི་འབྲས་བུ་ཉེས་པར་བྱས་པས་བསླུས་པ་དེ་སྡུག་བསྔལ་གྱིས་ཉམ་ཐག་ནས་ཤིན་ཏུ་ངུ་སྐད་འབྱིན། ཆོ་ངེས་འདེབས། སྨྲེ་སྔགས་འདོན་ཅིང་ཕྱོགས་དང་ཕྱོགས་མཚམས་སུ་རྒྱུག་སྟེ་དེ་ནི་དེའི་ནང་དུ་འབྱུང་བའི་ སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཡིན་ནོ། །ཕྱི་རོལ་དུ་འབྱུང་བ་ཡང་ལས་ཀྱིས་བྱས་པའི་མེས་ཡན་ལག་དང་ཉིང་ལག་ཐམས་ཅད་སྲེག་པར་བྱེད་དོ། །མེ་ནང་དུ་སོང་བ་སླར་བྱུང་ནས་ཕྱི་རོལ་གྱི་ལུས་ཀྱང་སྲེག་པར་བྱེད་དེ། དཔེར་ན་ཤིང་ཁོང་སྟོང་གི་ནང་དུ་མེ་ཞུགས་པ་ཤིང་གི་ནང་བསྲེགས་ནས་ཕྱི་རོལ་སྲེག་པ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་མེ་དེས་ཡི་དགས་དེའི་ནང་དུ་བསྲེགས་ནས་ཕྱི་རོལ་ཡང་སྲེག་པར་བྱེད་དོ། །དེ་ནང་དང་ ཕྱི་རོལ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཚལ་ཤིང་བསྲེགས་པ་ལྟ་བུར་རབ་ཏུ་བསྲེགས་ཏེ་མེ་ལྕེ་གཅིག་ཏུ་གྱུར་པས་ངུ་སྐད་འབྱིན་ཅིང་ཆོ་ངེས་འདེབས་སོ། །དེ་དེར་ཆོ་ངེས་འདེབས་པ་ན་ཁར་མེ་འབྱུང་སྟེ། དེ་ཡང་དང་ཡང་དུ་དེའི་ལུས་ཐམས་ཅད་འབར་བ་ཉིས་འགྱུར་གྱིས་ཆེས་རབ་ཏུ་འབར་བར་བྱེད་དོ། །གང་དང་གང་དུ་འགྲོ་བའི་ལམ་དེ་དང་དེར་རྩྭ་དར་བྷ་རབ་ཏུ་འབར་བ་ཁབ་ལྟ་བུ་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར་ལ་གང་དེའི་རྐང་པ་གཉིས་བོར་བ་མ་རུང་བར་བྱེད་དེ་རྐང་པ་མ་རུང་བ་དེ་ངུ་སྐད་འབྱིན། ཆོ་ངེས་འདེབས། ཡོངས་སུ་སྨྲེ་སྔགས་འདོན་ཏོ། །དེ་ཡོངས་སུ་སྨྲེ་སྔགས་འདོན་པ་ན་དེའི་ལྕེ་མར་སར་གྱི་གོང་བུ་ལྟར་ཞུ་བར་བྱེད་དེ། དེ་ནས་ཡང་ཉེས་པར་བྱས་པའི་ལས་དེས་སླར་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར་རོ། །དེ་གང་དང་གང་དུ་རྒྱུག་པ་དེ་དང་དེར་དེའི་ཉེས་པར་བྱས་པའི་ལས་དེས་ཆུ་དང་། ལྟེང་ཀ་དང་། འབབ་ཆུའི་དངོ་དང་། མཚོ་དང་། ཆུ་འཛག་པ་དང་། ཆུ་བོ་དང་། ཁྲོན་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་དང་བྲལ་བར་འགྱུར། ཚལ་དང་། ནགས་ཚལ་དང་། ཁྱིམ་དང་ནེའུ་གསིང་གི་ས་གཞི་དང་བྲལ་བར་འགྱུར། ཚལ་དང་ནགས་ཚལ་དག་ཀྱང་ལོག་པར་མཐོང་སྟེ། རི་དང་། ལྗོན་ཤིང་དང་། རི་སུལ་གྱི་ས་ཕྱོགས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱང་རབ་ཏུ་འབར་བར་མཐོང་ངོ་། །ཀུན་ནས་ཡི་དགས་ཀྱི་ཆང་པ་ལག་ན་རལ་གྲི་དང་གཏུན་ཤིང་ཁྱེར་བ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་གཙེ་བར་བྱེད་ཅིང་སྤྱོ་བར་བྱེད་པས་མཆོག་ཏུ་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཏེ། རང་གི་ཕྲག་དོག་དང་སེར་སྣས་བསླུས་ཤིང་སེམས་ཀྱི་དགྲ་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ལྡན་པས་ཚེ་ཡང་སྔ་མ་བཞིན་ནོ། །དེ་ལྟར་དེ་ཉེས་པ་བྱས་པའི་ལས་བྱས་པས་ཇི་སྲིད་དུ་དེའི་སྡིག་པའི་ལས་བྱས་ཤིང་བསགས་པ་བཅོམ་ཞིང་སྤངས་ ལ་ཟད་པར་མ་བྱས་པ་དེ་སྲིད་དུ་ཡི་དགས་ཁ་ཟས་མེད་པའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་མྱོང་བར་འགྱུར། དེ་ཕྱིས་ཡི་དགས་ཀྱི་ཡུལ་དེ་ལས་ཐར་བར་འགྱུར་ཏེ།

Later, the beings in the preta realm who eat excrement will be liberated from that. Even after liberation, due to the cause that accords with that karma, how karma draws near, they will wander completely in samsara. If, like a turtle entering a yoke hole, they are born as humans with a share equal to that of humans, then they will be poor and sickly, with little food, their life's sustenance always dependent on others, obtaining a livelihood with great difficulty, and becoming a vessel without purpose. Their mind, whether knowing or not knowing, will be ordinary, and their body will be marked with scars and blemishes, ugly, and condemned by all. From their mouth will come a foul odor, and suddenly their teeth will turn black, which will be seen. Then, the monk, knowing the ripening of the fruits of karma, contemplates the preta realm, which is the abode of miserliness. Through the knowledge arising from hearing, he sees the pretas who are the abode of all miserliness, called "without food." Thinking, "By what karma are they born there?" he contemplates with the knowledge arising from hearing. Whether male or female, overwhelmed by miserliness and jealousy, and with the power to deceive or cheat, they bind sentient beings with bonds, separate them from life by not giving them food, and even after separating them from life, they do not feel remorse or regret from the heart. Having done that same deed again, they rejoice in it and encourage others to do the same. Having done the deed, the accumulation of deeds, and the completion of the deed, and then doing the same again, they, having separated from the body, fall into the lower realms and are born among the foodless pretas. That male or female, having been born there, without food, tormented by hunger and thirst, and burned by fire, again and again, like the force of water flowing from a mountain, the suffering of hunger and thirst increases greatly. By the power of being without food, just as ashes cannot be seen, so all their insides, limbs, and parts are burned. Then, those limbs and parts will reappear, and they will be burned again. Tormented by hunger and thirst, and with their body burned, burned by two sufferings, they experience the fruit of their own karma.

Deceived by karma, that hungry ghost, exhausted by suffering, emits a great cry, utters wails, and emits laments, running in all directions, that is the suffering arising within it. The suffering arising externally is that the fire created by karma burns all its limbs. Entering the fire and reappearing, it burns the external body as well. For example, when fire enters a hollow tree, the fire burns the inside of the tree and then burns the outside, similarly, that fire burns the inside of that hungry ghost and also burns the outside. Its inside and outside are all burned intensely like burning garden trees, turning into a single flame, emitting cries and wails. When it wails there, fire comes out of its mouth, and that fire repeatedly burns its entire body, burning even more intensely with double the intensity. Wherever it goes, on that path, intensely burning needle-like grass will appear, making its two feet unusable, and that hungry ghost with unusable feet emits cries, utters wails, and completely emits laments. When it completely emits laments, its tongue melts like a ball of melted butter, and then it reappears again due to its evil deeds. Wherever it runs, it is separated from all water, ponds, river sources, lakes, water droplets, rivers, and wells due to its evil deeds. It is separated from gardens, forests, houses, and the land of oases. The gardens and forests are also seen inverted, and all places of mountains, trees, and valleys are also seen burning intensely. Everywhere, the retinue of hungry ghosts, holding swords and wooden clubs in their hands, torment and insult it, causing extreme suffering. Deceived by its own jealousy and stinginess, and existing together with the enemy in its mind, its life is as before. Thus, due to the evil deeds it has committed, until the sinful deeds it has committed and accumulated are destroyed, abandoned, and exhausted, it will suffer the pain of the hungry ghost without food. Afterwards, it will be liberated from the realm of hungry ghosts.
