Therefore, if someone engages in killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, drinking alcohol, lying, and holding wrong views, and constantly relies on, cultivates, and increases these actions, corresponding consequences will arise. If someone steals the innocent wife of someone who has given the gift of fearlessness, or takes her to a place where she is to be killed, and fearing her death, saves her life, but that person is ungrateful and instead steals his wife, then that person, after death, will fall into the lower realms and be reborn in a sentient hell like a pile of dry firewood. After being born there, all the sufferings of sentient hells, such as the Reviving Hell, will be gathered together, and the following will especially occur: this sentient hell being will be thrown into a river called the Great Sound River. There, countless hundreds of thousands of sentient hell beings will also be thrown in. These sentient hell beings will be thrown into it. They will enter in this way, be driven forcefully, and be pressed underneath, so that not even the tip of a hair can be seen. They will pile up from above to above, harming each other. Sentient hell beings are on top. Below, they are boiled, burned, and killed with extremely hot molten lead. They cry out in agony, constantly exhausted by suffering. Exhausted by suffering in this way, crocodiles created by karma will approach, and they will eat all the limbs of the sentient hell beings. While he is experiencing suffering piled up like dry firewood, as long as his sinful karma has not been destroyed, abandoned, and exhausted, he will experience the extremely unbearable suffering created by karma for a long time. Afterwards, this sentient hell being will be liberated from that hell. Even after liberation, due to the corresponding result of that karma, he will be reborn as a hungry ghost and an animal for five hundred lifetimes. Even after being liberated from that, if he shares the same fate as humans and is reborn as a human, he will not be loved by all women. Like a son, a father, or a husband, he will be without male genitalia for five hundred lifetimes.

Om. Then, the monk, knowing the ripening of the fruits of karma, contemplates the surroundings of the great hot hell. He does not see the seventeenth circle beyond the sixteen circles; the great hot hell is surrounded by sixteen circles. The great horror of the great hot hell is those, the end is those, the limit is those, those who cook and burn in the land of the fruits of their own deeds. Thus, not obtained by the deeds of others, but suffering harm in accordance with karma. One's own deeds will not be in vain, nor will they meet with the deeds of others, what is done will not be in vain, and in accordance with one's own deeds, fruits will arise. Sentient beings born from the birthplace of one's own deeds are those who enjoy their own karma, thus, whether it turns into good or bad karma, they enjoy the share of that karma. Thus, the monk, in the hells of sentient beings, remembers the karma belonging to the hells of sentient beings, and there is no happiness at all for the sentient beings who are manifestly established, seeing that they are impermanent, not constant, and without self. Seeing all samsara as impermanent, suffering, empty, and selfless. When he sees it that way, he will be free from all desires, all combinations of desires, following all desires, discriminating on desires, and arising attachment to the basis of desires. Therefore, he will also be extremely afraid of the faults of desires. Thus, the movements of his body, speech, and mind are strictly restrained, and the demons and their retinues cannot defeat him. Practicing in this way, he will destroy, weaken, abandon, and relax the continuum of many lifetimes of samsara. Then, the yogi who dwells following the Dharma in the inner Dharma, this monk thinks: Alas! I have not abandoned joy, I have entered the eleventh ground. Thus, he who does not abandon joy makes the earth gods rejoice and manifests to the yakshas who walk in the sky.

proclaimed. They also proclaimed to the Four Great Kings, and then connected it as before. Among the Brahma gods, like this, in Jambudvipa, from a certain clan, a son of a certain clan, a certain large city, a certain town, a person named so-and-so, having shaved his hair and beard, wearing robes of ochre color, having renounced his home for homelessness with faith, he does not want the objects of the realm of Mara, nor does he want to exist with the objects of craving born from the abundance of the joy of desire. He does not rejoice with afflictions like snakes, and seeing the afflictions of others, he becomes weary of the entire cycle of existence, thus proclaiming. Hearing this, the gods of the Great Brahma realm considered the side of Mara to be lowered. The direction of the Holy Dharma is manifestly elevated, and they felt joy. Thus, having entered the eleventh ground, the vision of the gods of the Yoga practitioner and the vision of the correct path, knowing the ripening of the law of karma, seeing the truth of the punishment of the body, the punishment of speech, and the punishment of mind, he thinks thus: Like this, if one can very meticulously discern the punishment of the body, the punishment of speech, and the punishment of mind, then monks, the world with gods, the world with Mara, the world with Brahma, ascetics, Brahmins, with beings, with gods and humans, they do not know how to discern in this way, let alone other wandering non-Buddhists, there is no place and no opportunity, except for my disciples and those who have heard from me. Like this, the three punishments are very subtle, able to be completely discerned, that is how very subtle it is. Monks, if other wandering non-Buddhists ask, one should answer in this way. Other wandering non-Buddhists will become very confused by the answer to the question, why is that? Monks, like this, because this is not the realm of all sentient beings belonging to the cycle of existence. Their punishment of the body, punishment of speech, and punishment of mind, these three forms are reasonable, sin
