Homage to the Perfections! If anyone hears the names of the twelve categories of scriptures and the Perfections, and after hearing them, reads, holds, recites, prostrates, believes, admires, receives, and remembers them, that person will not fall into the suffering of sentient beings in hell for twenty trillion kalpas, and will possess the wisdom to remember past lives. Therefore, now I respectfully prostrate. When the names of the twelve categories of scriptures are proclaimed, eighty-five thousand Bodhisattvas will attain diamond-like samadhi. Eighty hundred thousand Shravakas will generate a little Mahayana mind. Ten thousand Bhikshus and Bhikshunis will attain the fruit of Arhatship. Immeasurable gods and humans will develop a pure Dharma eye towards the Dharma. Homage to the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas of the ten directions! Homage to Manjushri, the youthful Bodhisattva! Homage to Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva! Homage to Mahasthamaprapta, the Bodhisattva! Homage to the Ever-Diligent Bodhisattva! Homage to the Never-Abandoning Bodhisattva!
