That is how it became. Sons of lineage, likewise, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, also sees all beings in that way with the utterly pure eye of the Tathagata, and in order to completely purify the treasury of the Tathagata's wisdom, power, fearlessness, and unmixed Buddha-dharmas, he teaches the Dharma to the Bodhisattvas. Then, at that time, the Bhagavan spoke these verses: Just as in the lower part of a poor man's house, There is a treasure filled with wealth and gold. It has no wavering or arrogance, It does not say, "I am yours." At that time, the sentient being householder, Becomes poor and cannot recognize it, Because no one accuses it, That poor man is on top of it. Likewise, I with the Buddha's eye, See all those sentient beings as if they were poor, They all have great treasures, Without wavering, and see it in the Tathagata's body. I have seen it, for the Bodhisattvas, You should turn my treasury of wisdom, Into a treasure of Dharma that is without poverty and is the protector of the world, The unsurpassed. Whoever has faith in what I have taught, All those sentient beings have treasures. Whoever has faith and strives to practice, They will quickly attain supreme enlightenment. Sons of lineage, again, for example, the fruit of a mango tree, or the fruit of a jambu tree, or the fruit of a palm tree, or the fruit of a loquat tree as well, in the pod of the outer shell, there is a seed of a sprout, having the nature of not being wasted, whoever plants it in the ground, it will become a great king of trees. Sons of lineage, likewise, the Tathagata also dwells in the world, seeing that all are wrapped in the pod of the outer shell of afflictions of desire, hatred, ignorance, craving, and unawareness. Among them, in the pod of afflictions of desire, hatred, ignorance, craving, and unawareness, the essence of the Tathagata-nature becomes the thing called "sentient being." Among them, whatever is removed is Nirvana, that is, completely

Because of diligent practice, that one who has become the great wisdom assembly of the realm of sentient beings is the one who has attained it. This sacred assembly of great wisdom of the realm of sentient beings, the Tathagata speaks of it as it is, seen by the world including the gods, and is regarded as the concept called Tathagata. Sons of good families, having seen it thus by the Tathagata, in order to make the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas understand the wisdom of the Tathagata, he reveals the meaning approximately. Then, at that time, the Blessed One spoke these verses: Just like all the fruits of the loquat, Inside there are loquat sprouts; There are also palm and jambu trees. The fruits inside will grow if they are born. Likewise, the one who leads the power of Dharma, All sentient beings are like loquat seeds; In all of them there is the body of the Sugata, The stainless Buddha's eye is obtained by the holy one. That which has not been broken is called sentient beings; Although they do not know that they live inside, they have no arrogance; Having attained Samadhi, they dwell in peace, In that, there is no movement. Just as a big tree comes from a seed, How can these sentient beings become enlightened? In order to make the world, including the gods, a refuge, To abandon completely, speak the Dharma. Sons of good families, there is also this simile, for example, a poor man has a statue of the Tathagata made of seven precious jewels, about the size of a palm. Then, this poor man took the statue of the Tathagata and went through a very desolate wilderness, so that others would not notice it and it would not be taken by thieves, he wrapped it in rags and pieces of smelly cloth. Then, this man did not die in that desolate wilderness because of any disaster. At that time, the statue of the Tathagata made of precious jewels, wrapped in rags, was also rolling on that road. The passers-by did not recognize it, but trampled on it and said: Where did this pile of rags and smelly cloths come from being blown by the wind?
