Therefore, with pure eyes, I see all sentient beings. Then, the Blessed One spoke these verses: Just as there is a beehive here, Guarded and hidden by bees. If someone desires honey and sees it, They will drive away the bees. Similarly, here like a beehive, Are all sentient beings of the three realms. They have countless afflictions, In the midst of afflictions, the Tathagata is seen to dwell. I also, for the sake of purifying the Buddha, Eliminate afflictions like driving away bees. Whoever is harmed by countless afflictions, Here, the Dharma is well shown with skillful means. How do they become Tathagatas, Constantly doing deeds in all the world. Courageous ones, how like the honey of bees, Act to show the Dharma like a vessel. Sons of good family, again, like rice, or barley, or millet, or grains, their essence is completely protected by the husk. Until it is taken out from its husk, there will be no eating, cooking, or tasting. Sons of good family, whatever men and women desire to eat, cook, and so on, they harvest and thresh, removing the empty husk and outer skin of the grain. Sons of good family, likewise, the Tathagata also sees with the eyes of the Tathagata that all sentient beings, the Tathagata himself, the Buddha himself, the self-born himself, are wrapped and abiding in the skin of the husk of afflictions. Sons of good family, therefore, the Tathagata also removes the skin of the husk of afflictions, completely purifies the Tathagata himself, thinking how these sentient beings can be liberated from all the skin of the husk of afflictions, and be counted among those called Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones in the world, and thus teaches the Dharma to sentient beings. Then, the Blessed One spoke these verses: Just like grains or rice, Millet or barley is also like that. Until they have husks, In the meantime, no action is done. They with

After beating and removing the chaff, many things can be done. Those with both essence and chaff do not work for sentient beings. Likewise, I see the Buddha-nature of all sentient beings covered by afflictions. Therefore, to thoroughly purify them, I teach the Dharma so that they may quickly attain Buddhahood. All sentient beings have the same nature as me, entangled by hundreds of afflictions. To thoroughly purify them, how can they quickly become victorious? I teach the Dharma for that purpose. Noble sons, here is another example: Suppose in a place full of rot and filth, filled with the stench of feces and urine, another person passing by drops a round gold nugget. Due to the foul smell of feces and urine, the place full of rot and filth is covered with other impurities, making it invisible. There, for ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, a hundred, or a thousand years, that nature which is not corrupted by impurities is of no benefit to any sentient being. Noble sons, then a god, with his divine eye, sees that round gold nugget and says to a person: 'Hey, go and clean this precious gold, the gold covered by rot and filth, and let gold do the work of gold!' Noble sons, the so-called rot and filth is a euphemism for various afflictions. The so-called gold nugget is a euphemism for the nature that is not corrupted. The so-called god with the divine eye is a euphemism for the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha. Noble sons, likewise, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha also teaches the Dharma to sentient beings in order to remove the afflictions, such as rot and mire, from the Tathagata-nature that all sentient beings possess, the nature that is not corrupted. Then, at that time, the Bhagavan spoke these verses: Just like a person's gold nugget, falls into filth. There, even if it stays for many years, it still has an imperishable nature. A god

Having seen that with the divine eye, for the sake of purification, he said to others: "Here is the supreme precious gold, purify it, and it will do the work." Likewise, I see all sentient beings constantly oppressed by afflictions for a long time. They know the sudden afflictions, and for the sake of purifying their nature, they teach the Dharma with skillful means. Sons of good family, there is another example like this: For example, in the house of a poor person, under the ground of the treasury, there is a great treasure filled with earth and gold, about the size of the treasury, under the earth that seven people can lift. That great treasure says to that poor person, "Hey, I am a great treasure, covered by earth and dwelling," but it does not speak like that, because the great treasure is not a sentient being by nature of mind. That poor person, the owner of the house, follows with a poor mind and walks on it, but he does not hear, know, or see that there is a great treasure under the ground. Sons of good family, likewise, under the mind of manifest attachment of all sentient beings, which has become like a house, there is the great treasure of the Tathagatagarbha, the treasury of strength, fearlessness, non-mixture, and all the Buddha's teachings. However, those sentient beings are attached to form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, and are tormented by suffering, wandering in samsara. Because they have not heard of that great treasure of Dharma, they have not attained it, and they do not strive for purification. Sons of good family, then the Tathagata appears in the world and truly reveals such a great treasure of Dharma within the Bodhisattvas. They also believe in that great treasure of Dharma and dig it up. Therefore, in the world, they are called Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas, like a great treasure of Dharma. To sentient beings, they show the unprecedented aspects of reasoning, examples, and the reasoning of actions, and activities. They are the lords of the treasury of great treasures, possessing unattached fearlessness, and endowed with strength, fearlessness, and a treasury of many Buddha's teachings.
