By means such as redemption, the act of not killing any living beings is performed, and all males are my fathers, and all females are my mothers. In whatever lifetimes I have been born in the past, there is no place where I have not been born from them, therefore all sentient beings of the six realms are my parents, and if I kill and eat them, I am killing my parents. In general, it is killing my old body. All the earth and water are my former bodies. All the fire and wind are the outer shells of my body, so one should always perform the act of releasing life. Wherever one is born, if one sees someone killing sentient beings, one should use methods, and through redemption and setting up hunting reserves, may afflictions and poverty be liberated. Always explain the precepts of the Bodhisattva, and through teaching, set up hunting reserves for the liberation of sentient beings. If parents, sons, and brothers die, on that day one should seek a Dharma master to give teachings, and if one explains the precepts of the Bodhisattva, then through this merit, the deceased will meet all the Buddhas and be reborn in the heavens. If one does not do this, it is a downfall. The Ocean of Dharma. The second volume, which is the last. Like this, if one learns these ten precepts, one can uphold them with reverence. In the chapter on 'Confession of Sins,' the precepts are also explained broadly and clearly from one aspect. The Buddha said to the son of the Buddha: Do not repay anger with anger, do not repay beating with beating. Even if parents, brothers, and the six kinds of relatives are killed, one must not take revenge. Even if others kill my king, one must not take revenge. If one kills and takes revenge, one is violating the Dharma of service. Moreover, if a slave is reviled and beaten with evil words, and commits three kinds of evil deeds in one day, there are countless sins, what need is there to mention intentionally committing the seven kinds of inverted sins? A renunciate Bodhisattva has no compassion, and if one intentionally takes revenge for the six kinds of relatives, it is a downfall. The son of the Buddha initially renounces, and not knowing anything, is self-righteous, thinking himself to be sharp-witted and intelligent, some are old in years, arrogant relying on wealth and power, some are of noble lineage, with high methods, or learned and knowledgeable, or powerful, or proud of possessing many of the seven precious jewels.

The arrogant ones do not request letters and precepts from the Khenpo who knows the Dharma, nor do they accept them. Some Dharma Khenpos are small-minded, some are young, some are unskilled, some are poor, and some are incomplete in their faculties, but there are also cases where good Dharma is hidden. If one knows all the Dharma letters and precepts, one should relearn the Bodhisattva training. The Dharma teacher is ignorant and looks for convenience, and if he does not ask and accept all the correct truths and scriptures from the Dharma Khenpo, he will fall. After the Buddha's Nirvana, if a son of the Buddha desires and accepts the Buddha's precepts with a good heart, he should make a vow in his heart before the image of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas. Within seven days, confess before the Buddha, and seeing a good omen means that you have received the precepts. If you do not see a good omen, then for fourteen days, twenty-one days, or one year, hold on to the warmth of seeing a good omen. After seeing a good omen, receive the precepts before the image of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas. If you do not see a good omen, even if you receive the precepts before the image of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas, you cannot be said to have received the precepts. If some people receive the precepts before someone who has already received the Bodhisattva precepts, they do not need a good omen. Why? Because the Dharma Khenpo is passed down from generation to generation, so there is no need for a good omen. If you receive the precepts in front of that Dharma Khenpo, you will also receive the precepts, and you will develop respect. If there is no Khenpo who can give precepts within a thousand yojanas, then receive the precepts before the image of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas, and you must see a good omen. Some Dharma Khenpos think that they are proficient in the letters and precepts of the Mahayana, and rely on the love and friendship of kings, princes, and ministers. If a new Bodhisattva comes to ask about the rules of Dharma letters and the scriptures of precepts, and they do not answer the questions one by one with contempt, malice, and laziness, they will fall. Son of the Buddha, the Buddha's Dharma!
