The name is upright, and the mind is also upright, that person is the manifestation of uprightness. That person is wise. If you ask why? The Tathagata's Dharmakaya, permanence, bliss, self, and purity have reached the other shore, abiding in the state of purity. Seeing the Dharmakaya of the Buddhas in this way, that person is the only true disciple of the Buddha, born from the upright Dharma, transformed from the Dharma, born from the mouth of the Buddha, and obtains the four stabilities of the Buddha. Although an ordinary person, he is a Bodhisattva with four stabilities. Good son, after my Nirvana, whether it is five hundred years, or a thousand years, or one thousand five hundred years. After that, if someone upholds the words of this Dharma, is able to recite and read it, and practices it as it is said, believes in the state of permanence, bliss, self, and purity, and practices this Dharma on top of upright views, teaches sentient beings, teaches one sentient being, that person's name is Bodhisattva. Although an ordinary person, he can accept offerings, he is a renunciant. Bodhisattva Akashagarbha asked the Buddha: World Honored One, if a renunciant shaves his hair and beard, wears Dharma robes, upholds complete precepts, and is not defiled by mundane dharmas, is that person's name a renunciant, and can he accept offerings? The Tathagata replied, what is being said now is a renunciant among ordinary people, who can accept offerings, if the distinctions within it are not distinguished, I pray that the Buddha will look upon me with compassion and explain it to me. The Buddha told Bodhisattva Akashagarbha: Good son, shaving hair and beard is to tame attachment to the body. Wearing Dharma robes is to separate from mundane dharmas. Upholding complete precepts is to obtain and not destroy. The person I spoke of, although an ordinary person, is able to tame body and mind, is not shaken by arrogance and laziness, his mind is not defiled by dust, has been separated from mundane dharmas for a long time, is like a vajra, and is the essence of discipline.

Because it is not broken, although it is an ordinary person, it is actually correct to be ordained from home. Moreover, if you practice as it is said in this Mahayana Buddhist scripture, because you have faith in the Buddha's Dharma, you can see permanence, bliss, self, and purity. If you explain it to sentient beings, although you are an ordinary person, you are a person with four steadfastnesses. It is acceptable to receive the actions of a Bodhisattva as an offering. The name is called Upasaka. Having obtained the method of wisdom, he preached the Mahayana Dharma. The nature of such Dharma is inseparable from all minds, and transformations arise from the mind. In samadhi, it does not waver, and the essence of the eternally single mind is non-dual. Inside the single mind, there is neither inside nor outside, nor is there a middle, and it is separated from everything. If it is separated from everything, then there is no birth and death. If there is no birth and death, then it is originally truly immovable. The truly immovable abides eternally, and the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha will not change because of this. Sentient beings of the three realms are born and die on their own. For the sons of lineage, in particular, it is taught to sentient beings that there is no self. The Buddha and the Perfectly Enlightened One are the truly real "self", transcending the cycle of birth and death. If you sentient beings seek eternal abiding, then abandon desires and do the work of non-birth and non-death. Bodhisattva Akashagarbha asked the Buddha: World Honored One, what kind of practice is called the work of non-birth? The Buddha said: Sons of lineage, if "I" is not born from anything else, then "I" will not be born from anything else. If you do this, then the nature of the rule is pure emptiness, which is neither existence nor impermanence. All existing things are empty and pure. If it is not non-existence, then ultimately it is not existence either. Bodhisattvas and Buddhas, the Perfectly Enlightened Ones, purify the single nature in the minds of sentient beings with the fragrance of the complete and unified essence. The wise ones will understand and comprehend emptiness. The foolish ones will enter into delusion and be bound by desire. If you do this, then sentient beings with wisdom have the nature of feeling because they have no ignorance, because of ignorance.
