The earth is the place where the Buddha's body can be born. The Buddha's body is only one, there is no second. In short, the nature of the Buddha is one. Within the one Buddha-nature, the nature of mind is also only one. Apart from this one mind, there is no need to seek elsewhere. If you seek elsewhere, that is incorrect. Why is that? Because all the dharmas of the mind are not sought from outside. If you seek from an external place, then its name is called "other." If you seek from the place of "other," then that is untrue. The Bodhisattva Akashagarbha asked the Buddha: World Honored One, if Buddhahood can be attained from within one mind, then it seems that all beings have the Buddha-nature within their minds. If all beings have the Buddha-nature, then all Tathagatas should use this one mind to be able to generate all beings, and eliminate delusion with one mind and one body. In this way, there would be no other Buddha-dharma, and it would seem that the Buddha's Dharmakaya is born. The Buddha said to the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha: Noble son, it is so, it is so. Just as you said, all beings have the Buddha-nature. All Tathagatas use this one mind's dharma, and put the minds of all beings into this one mind to seek the Buddha-dharma, and therefore attain the Buddha-body. The Bodhisattva Akashagarbha asked the Buddha: World Honored One, beings have the Buddha-nature, and if one seeks within the Buddha-nature, one can attain Buddhahood, then it seems that there is also a Buddha in the individual minds of all beings, and it can be attained and seen. The Buddha said to the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha: Noble son, the Buddha-nature entering into the true and pure form cannot be said to be attained, nor can it be said to be not attained. It cannot be said to be seen, nor can it be said to be not seen. Why is that? Because the Bodhisattva's Buddha-natu

If it is said that the self-nature (of the Buddha) exists, that is slander against the Buddha. If it is said that the self-nature of the Buddha does not exist, that is also slander against the Buddha. If it is said that the self-nature of the Buddha is not existent, that is also slander against the Buddha. If it is said that the self-nature of the Buddha is not non-existent, that is also slander against the Buddha. Why is that? The Bodhisattva said, if the self-nature of the Buddha of sentient beings is not existent, then it is like space. If it is not non-existent, then it is like a rabbit's horn, and a rabbit's horn is completely non-existent. Space is eternally existent. The nature of form is not existent. The nature of space is not non-existent. If one is separated from all natures of form, one will not be attached to anything. One does not abide in the place of birth, and if one sees birth there, that is defilement. One does not abide in the place of non-existence, and if one does not see it there, that is called annihilation. The supreme form of the self-nature of the Buddha of sentient beings is like that. If it is said that the self-nature of the Buddha exists, that is to increase and slander. If it is said that the self-nature of the Buddha does not exist, that is to diminish and slander. If it is said that the self-nature of the Buddha both exists and does not exist, that is to slander perversely. If it is said that the self-nature of the Buddha is neither existent nor non-existent, that is to slander with disputation. Bodhisattva Akashagarbha said to the Buddha: "Bhagavan, the supreme self-nature of the Buddha of sentient beings is so profound, because it is separated from accumulations and the like, it is not defiled by anything. For example, it is like space, and the external self-nature is eternally pure, so why do sentient beings create sorrow? If they create sorrow, it seems that the mind is defiled. From where did the defilement of the mind initially arise, Bhagavan has explained to many people, so that all sentient beings may hear and know, hoping that the sorrow of sentient beings may cease, and hoping that by washing away the defilement of the mind, they may be freed from covering and entanglement." Then, the Buddha smiled and laughed, and wiped the crown of the Bodhisattva's head with his left hand, emitting great light, pervading everywhere. Then, many sentient beings were all very happy. The Buddha said, the Bodhisattva
