Mas Gang. The path of the noble ones is that which abandons. Here, seeking the path of the noble ones, it is not a place to enter. From this, the various kinds of patience that exist among the non-Buddhists, that is the patience that follows the path, not desiring the union of Nirvana. Transformed into others, the five sufferings of the non-Buddhists, whatever diligence and patience is exerted upon them, that is not the cause of attaining enlightenment. Therefore, the wise do not exert themselves in that. Here, those with external signs, all those realms of meditative practice, are condemned by the Buddhas, therefore one does not enter into that. Whatever wisdom is possessed by desire, one does not enter into that, because that wisdom is not the cause of accomplishing the inconceivable wisdom of the Buddhas. The fearless Bodhisattva, whoever gathers sentient beings, the wise one cannot move from gathering those sentient beings. Because of clinging to the perception of sentient beings, here the mind of enlightenment is spoken of. Enlightenment is without clinging, it cannot be moved. Fathers and mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, and relatives, all are said to be like illusions, they cannot be moved. Those various things, the perception of all of them is not real. Whatever dharma is not real, that cannot be moved. Whatever is the perception of day and night, whatever is a month or half a month, all those perceptions are without attachment, like water in a mirage. Giving, morality, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom, the mind of enlightenment, strength, and fearlessness, and whatever perception there is, and whatever arises in the faculties, the limbs of enlightenment, and the paths, that is from not knowing to knowing, the wise do not waver. Whatever becomes the perception of the Buddha, the perception of the Dharma, the perception of the Sangha, those who abide in various separations, one should not move from that. There is no perception of the Buddha or the Sangha, whoever has no perception of omniscience, those Buddhas and enlightenment make the inconceivable enlightenment distant. Do not make enlightenment distant, therefore, in front of sinners, they do not move from this, I have spoken these words. All dharmas and sentient beings, all of them as they are, having explained them, the sinful ones, with evil wisdom

Not understood. Immediately after the Blessed One taught the turning back of the Maras, then those ten billion beings, free from doubt and having abandoned hesitation, having obtained illumination in all dharmas, attained forbearance of non-arising dharmas. Immediately after attaining forbearance, all gathered and spoke these verses: The path of the Buddha is inconceivable. The supreme of paths is manifestly attained. The guide who cuts off hesitation. Blessed One, you are our teacher. We have all obtained illumination. We are well established on the path of the Buddha. All directions have become illuminated. And countless Buddhas are also seen. The dharma nature that does not abide in form. Will also be seen. Thus, the eyes of us. Have been cleansed by the guide, the protector of the world. Then, those ten billion beings, having spoken these verses. All of them, each from their own, scattered their garments to the Blessed One. And to this teaching, for the sake of offering. And spoke these words: May this teaching be heard in the ears of all sentient beings. Then, the venerable Ananda said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, those who, as soon as they hear this teaching of the turning back of the Maras, have faith and believe, and do not give rise to doubt. Blessed One, how much merit will they accumulate? The Blessed One said: Ananda, any son of good family or daughter of good family who, in the morning, serves, honors, attends to, and makes offerings to one hundred Buddhas. And at noon, to one hundred Buddhas. And in the evening, to one hundred Buddhas. And in the first part of the night, to one hundred Buddhas. And at midnight, to one hundred Buddhas. And in the last part of the night, to one hundred Buddhas, with all things that bring comfort. And with all things that bring pleasant sensations, and who reverently serve them. And in this way, serve them for twenty thousand years. Ananda, what do you think of this? Does that son of good family or daughter of good family accumulate more merit than that basis? He replied: Blessed One, it is much. Sugata, it is much. Blessed One, it is not easy to make an analogy.
