Saying "there is nothing at all," such inverted, unwise people also proclaim it to others. This tongue is a lump of flesh, not used for tasting. If flesh could know taste, then hands should also know taste, they proclaim. The consciousness of taste is very sinful, these consciousnesses should be completely destroyed. The realm of taste is inconceivable, that realm is not something to be realized. Bodhisattvas, by not abiding, that is manifest. Because of proclaiming manifestation in that way, they are called Shravakas. This body, by its very nature, is empty, thus contemplate it. That which is empty by its very nature is unborn and unceasing. What is unborn and unceasing? That itself is enlightenment here. Thus proclaim to sentient beings, therefore they are called Shravakas. This mind, by its very nature, is without inherent existence and without substance. This is not the substance of sentient beings, thus it is proclaimed. Dharma giving is inconceivable, this is the path to enlightenment, thereby enlightenment will be accomplished, proclaim giving. Various material offerings, many kinds of pure offerings, if there is no miserliness towards them, that too is the path to enlightenment. Because afflictions are cut off, all outflows are completely separated, having completely transcended all attachments, therefore they are called Shravakas. The Buddha's Dharma is unsurpassed, by what do the wise proclaim it? All sounds are sacred and peaceful, that is the supreme essence accomplished. All essences are fully known, there is no abiding in all essences, non-dual, without distinction, proclaiming the sacred proclamation. Just as the teachings of many Buddhas are proclaimed, therefore, striving for enlightenment, this is how it is distinguished. From where, the Buddha is the protector of the world, abiding in the unsurpassed place, the Buddha-field is very excellent, and also proclaims the hindrances. Abiding greatly in the sky, this three thousand is proclaimed. Sentient beings are just like the sky, always equal to Nirvana. From where, having analyzed sentient beings, the four elements are thoroughly explained, those are like the sky, non-discriminating and inconceivable. Those elements are like this.

That is, see that there is no essence in it. In this, there is no birth and no death, no nirvana and no afflictions. In this, there is no establishment of things. In this, there are no sentient beings. How can it not be seen by anyone? May you contemplate that realm clearly. Day and night, without laziness, proclaim these words to sentient beings. "I am proclaiming something," do not have a conceited thought. Whatever is proclaimed to others in this way, know that it is the Hearer. Speaking in this way is not a Hearer. It is fully shown as a Hearer. A mind that is firm and without weakness, by what Dharma can all Dharmas be known? He teaches the Dharma to living beings. Liberated from attachment and without outflows, in order to be completely liberated from all attachments, he teaches the Dharma to living beings. That is what is said by the Arhat. Without elaboration and without turbidity, he also shows the realm without attachment. The Buddhas, having completely seen all Dharmas, teach them. Whatever the Buddhas have spoken, they do not think of it as far from the Dharma, and they do not think of it as near to the Dharma. Therefore, they are without mixture. Even when proclaiming, there is no mixture, and it is spoken to immeasurable sentient beings. Those sentient beings are not seen. Therefore, it is said that he is a Hearer. Ananda, understand this. I have fully shown the Hearers. Bodhisattvas do not abide, know that the Hearers are like that. Ananda, in this way, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, has shown the Bodhisattva Mahasattva as a Hearer. Ananda, how does the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, show the Bodhisattva Mahasattva as a Pratyekabuddha? Ananda, in this, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is manifest in all Dharmas. How is it manifest? Because all Dharmas are without superimposition, without afflictions, and because all Dharmas are without the reason for slander, thus knowing and understanding that there is no destruction, therefore it is called a Pratyekabuddha. He understands that all Dharmas are inconceivable, and he understands that all sentient beings will not be born in the future, like nirvana, and unborn.
