For the sake of repetition, it was taught in verse: To abandon my heavy burden, I meditate on concentration with signs, I want to cut off all my afflictions, This is not the characteristic of a true wise person. Relying on an object and having thoughts, Even if I meditate on concentration desiring liberation, If I remain on this shore, the other shore, or in between, I will not accomplish the benefit of sentient beings. For the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings, Meditating on concentration and abandoning the heavy burden, Eliminating all afflictions, That is the characteristic of a true wise person. To pacify all sentient beings, Meditating on non-abiding concentration, Cutting off all desires, That is called great wisdom. Freeing all those bound by existence, To seize the city of fearlessness, Meditating on extremely peaceful concentration, That is the great Bodhisattva. The tenth chapter is complete. Son of the lineage, furthermore, there is what is called the great wheel of armor of great wisdom of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. If a Bodhisattva Mahasattva possesses that wheel, then from the very beginning of generating the mind of enlightenment, he completely eliminates the five desires, greatly surpasses all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, becomes a great field of merit for all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and is worshiped, protected, and revered by all Shravaka and Pratyekabuddha vehicle practitioners. What, then, is the great wheel of armor of wisdom? Son of the lineage, the wisdom of a Bodhisattva is of two types: worldly and transcendental. What, then, is the worldly wisdom of a Bodhisattva? It is like this: Bodhisattvas rely solely on reading, reciting, writing in books, listening to, and showing and explaining the sacred Dharma of the three vehicles, desiring to dispel the darkness of ignorance of all sentient beings, and in order for the lamp of wisdom of all sentient beings to arise, they read, recite, listen to, write in books, and extensively show to others the Dharma endowed with the Shravaka vehicle, taught by the Tathagata, with great diligence.

and explaining, diligently striving with correct effort, reading, reciting, listening to, writing in books, and extensively showing and explaining to others the Dharma endowed with the Pratyekabuddha Vehicle taught by the Tathāgata, and practicing diligently with correct effort. Diligently reading, reciting, listening to, writing in books, and also extensively showing and explaining to others the Dharma endowed with the Mahāyāna Vehicle taught by the Tathāgata, and striving diligently with correct effort, not seeking the limbs of the noble, undefiled path, not seeking the noble path, not seeking the liberation belonging to the noble path, not striving for the perfectly peaceful correct wisdom, but constantly connected with views, striving for the wisdom connected with wisdom. Thus, wisdom connected with grasping, connected with attachment, is called the worldly wisdom of a Bodhisattva. That wisdom is common to all Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and is not called the great armor wheel, nor is it called a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, and is not a pure field of merit for all Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Then, how is the supramundane wisdom of a Bodhisattva? For example, Bodhisattvas diligently strive on the path to enlightenment, reading, reciting, listening to, writing in books, and extensively showing and explaining to others the correct Dharma of the three vehicles as much as they can, but abide in the yoga of non-objectification, that is, the unmoving, the non-discriminating, the selfless, the mind like the sky, and the perfectly peaceful mind, and the wisdom without increase or decrease, and the mind without attachment, and the mind without birth or cessation, and the irreversible mind, and the mind of Dharma-sameness, and the mind of Suchness, and the mind of ultimate reality, and the mind of Dharmadhātu, and the mind of selflessness, and the non-discriminating mind, and the perfectly peaceful and patient, and the mind free from discrimination.
