Meditating while dwelling in a place, meditating while dwelling in the Noble Eightfold Path, meditating while dwelling in the earth element, meditating while dwelling in the water element, meditating while dwelling in the fire element, meditating while dwelling in the wind element, meditating while dwelling in the space element, meditating while dwelling in the consciousness element, meditating while dwelling in the feeling of pleasure, meditating while dwelling in the feeling of suffering, meditating while dwelling in the feeling of neither pleasure nor suffering, meditating while dwelling in the sphere of infinite space, meditating while dwelling in the sphere of infinite consciousness, meditating while dwelling in the sphere of nothingness, meditating while dwelling in the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, meditating while dwelling in this world, meditating while dwelling in the other world, meditating while dwelling in small perception, meditating while dwelling in great perception, meditating while dwelling in immeasurable perception. These meditations are with outflows, with acquisitions, and with attachments. This is called the Bodhisattva's meditation associated with the world. This meditation is said to be common to the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, it is not the Great Armor Wheel, it is not called a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, nor is it the pure field of merit for all Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. So, what is the Bodhisattva's supramundane meditation? That is, Bodhisattvas meditate, detached from the aggregates; meditate, detached from the elements; meditate, detached from the sources; meditate, detached from the desire realm; meditate, detached from the form realm; meditate, detached from the formless realm, meditate, detached from the three vows; meditate, detached from the three liberations; meditate, detached from the four mindfulnesses; and again.

This concentration generates great noble light, is without outflows, is without clinging, is without attachment. This is called the great armor wheel of concentration that transcends the world for a Bodhisattva. Son of good family, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva possesses this great armor wheel of concentration, from the moment of first generating the mind of enlightenment, he completely abandons the five desires and is called a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. He utterly transcends all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, becomes a field of merit for all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddha vehicle practitioners will make offerings, protect, and respectfully serve him. Then, the Bhagavan clarified these meanings
