也向某些众生示现为调御者的身相。向某些众生示现为狮子的身相。向某些众生示现为旃檀香牛的身相。向某些众生示现为马的身相。向某些众生示现为牛王的身相。向某些众生示现为各种猛兽的身相。向某些众生示现为阎魔的身相。向某些众生示现为地狱众生的狱卒的身相。向某些众生示现为地狱众生的身相。如是等等，示现无量无数的各种身相，并随众多众生的根器而为之说法，令其进入于三乘中永不退转之地。善男子，这位大士就具有如此这般的不可思议的功德特性。他是功德最为殊胜、最为卓越的宝藏。是生出一切解脱珍宝的源泉。是众多菩萨清净的眼目。是前往涅槃大城的导师。就这样，不需特别造作，仅凭以上广述的殊胜功德，便能善转大法轮。譬如说，善男子，如果有人向慈氏菩萨，或文殊菩萨，或观世音菩萨，或普贤菩萨等等如恒河沙数般的菩萨摩诃萨，于百千劫中一心皈依，称念他们的名号，以恭敬心供养、礼拜，并为了满足愿望而祈祷，与此相比，如果有人仅仅于一弹指、一瞬间，一心称念、供养、礼拜地藏菩萨摩诃萨的名号，那么他的一切愿望都将迅速实现和圆满。这是为什么呢？因为地藏菩萨摩诃萨是为了利益和安乐一切众生，为了圆满众生的愿望，就像如意宝珠的宝藏一样。就是这样。

He also manifests to some beings as the body of a tamer. To some beings, he manifests as the body of a lion. To some beings, he manifests as the body of a sandalwood bull. To some beings, he manifests as the body of a horse. To some beings, he manifests as the body of a bull king. To some beings, he manifests as the body of various fierce animals. To some beings, he manifests as the body of Yama. To some beings, he manifests as the body of a hell guardian of hell beings. To some beings, he manifests as the body of a hell being. Thus, he manifests immeasurable and countless various bodies, and teaches the Dharma according to the capacity of many beings, causing them to enter the irreversible ground of the three vehicles. Son of good family, that great being possesses such inconceivable qualities and characteristics. He is a treasure of the most supreme and excellent qualities. He is the source from which all precious liberations arise. He is the completely pure eye of many Bodhisattvas. He is the leader who goes to the great city of Nirvana. Thus, without special effort, by the great qualities extensively described above, he thoroughly turns the great wheel of Dharma. For example, son of good family, if someone were to take refuge in Maitreya, or Manjushri, or Avalokiteshvara, or Samantabhadra, and so on, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, for hundreds of thousands of kalpas with one-pointed mind, reciting their names, and offering and prostrating with reverence, and praying for the fulfillment of desires, compared to this, if someone for just a snap of the fingers, a moment, with one-pointed mind, recites, offers, and prostrates to the name of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ksitigarbha, then all his wishes will be quickly fulfilled and perfected. Why is that? Because this Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ksitigarbha is for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings, and for the complete fulfillment of the wishes of sentient beings, like a treasure of wish-fulfilling jewels. That is how it is.

This great being, in order to fully ripen all sentient beings, has made extremely firm great vows since a long time ago, and because of cultivating great compassion and extremely diligent effort, is more excellent than all Bodhisattvas, therefore you should offer him with reverence. Then, the circle of attendants gathered from the ten directions, including Bodhisattvas, Mahasattvas, Shravakas, gods, humans, Yakshas, Gandharvas, etc., all stood up and, to the best of their ability, scattered flowers and incense of gold, silver, and various jewels, openly for the purpose of offering to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ksitigarbha. Furthermore, they also offered heavenly garments, jewels, precious gems, pearl necklaces, pearl pendants, necklaces of gold, silver, and jewels, victory banners, banners, umbrellas, etc., for the purpose of offering to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ksitigarbha. In addition, they also made offerings to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ksitigarbha with reverence, using countless heavenly melodious music and various verses of praise. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ksitigarbha offered those various heavenly offering items back to the Bhagavan and spoke these verses: Gods, Nagas, Yakshas, humans, and the offerings of Bodhisattvas from the ten directions, I offer to the Lord of the world who possesses great qualities, please accept these supreme offerings. Then, after the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ksitigarbha spoke those verses, he bowed his head to the feet of the Bhagavan, and then the Bhagavan spoke these words in verses: With steadfast wisdom and pure intention, relieve the suffering of immeasurable sentient beings, see the arising of happiness like jewels, cut through the net of doubt like a vajra. O wise one with great compassion, with diligence, offer supreme offerings to the Bhagavan, the mind of wisdom like the ocean.

Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Kshitigarbha rose from his seat and said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, for the sake of saving the Bhagavan's close disciples, monks, nuns, laymen, laywomen, and others from the four rivers (referring to birth, old age, sickness, and death), to increase their mindfulness, to increase the mindfulness of protection, to increase their livelihood, to increase their physical well-being, to increase their freedom from illness, to increase their appearance and strength, to increase their fame, to increase their living necessities, to increase their relatives and friends, to increase their disciples, to increase their discipline, to increase their learning, to increase their generosity, to increase their samadhi, to increase their patience, to increase their skillful means, to increase the limbs of enlightenment, to increase the noble truths, to increase their inclination towards the correct path of the Mahayana, to increase the lamp of Dharma, to increase the complete maturation of sentient beings, to increase great love and great compassion, to increase pure Dharma, to increase fame in the three realms, to increase the rain of Dharma in the three realms, to increase the taste of all the great earth, to increase the radiance and virtuous deeds of all sentient beings, to increase the joy of Dharma and the practice of virtue, to increase the light of wisdom, to increase the six perfections, to increase the five eyes, to obtain empowerment, to be reborn as gods, to increase nirvana, and so on, to enable them to obtain, for example, possessing fire and water, the auspicious light shining, the great mantra for retaining what is heard, these words of the dharani, I heard this dharani after having made offerings to Buddhas, Bhagavan, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges in the past. This dharani can increase and generate all pure Dharmas, as well as the collection of seeds, roots, sprouts, branches, trunks, leaves, petals, flowers, fruits, herbs, the taste and fragrance of crops, possessing rain and water, and the beneficial earth, water, fire, and wind increase.
