are present. World Honored One, for example, just as the most important part of the limbs, the head, is where life is present. World Honored One, similarly, wherever there is thought, there is the Bodhi of the Buddha. World Honored One, for example, wherever there is life, there is gain. World Honored One, similarly, wherever there is thought, there is the attainment of Buddhahood. World Honored One, for example, if there is firewood, the firewood will burn; if there is no firewood, the fire will not burn. World Honored One, similarly, for a Bodhisattva who has thought, the Buddhadharma will burn; without thought, it will not burn. World Honored One, for example, if clouds gather, rain will fall; if clouds do not gather, rain will not fall. World Honored One, similarly, if there is thought, the Buddhadharma will arise; if there is no thought, it will not arise. World Honored One, for example, if the root of firewood is damaged, flowers and fruits will not grow. World Honored One, similarly, for those whose thoughts are perverse, all virtuous dharmas will not arise. World Honored One, therefore, a Bodhisattva seeking the Bodhi of the Buddha should diligently guard his own thoughts, diligently protect them, and diligently tame them. World Honored One, this is the true declaration of the Dharma. Bodhisattva Tsul Zang asked: World Honored One, a Bodhisattva should not disturb any dharma. World Honored One, a Bodhisattva should diligently guard his own mind. World Honored One, all the Buddhadharmas of a Bodhisattva depend on his own mind. World Honored One, if a Bodhisattva disturbs some dharmas, then he will attain forbearance of the unarising dharma with great difficulty. World Honored One, a Bodhisattva who does not disturb any dharma and practices meditation will abide in the state of non-retrogression, and thus will not cause faults to the Tathagatas. Having thoroughly realized all the Buddhadharmas from one's own mind, one should not disturb that mind either. Just as the mind arises dependently, so too do all dharmas arise dependently.

appear in between are seen. Just as the mind is seen as like an illusion, so too all phenomena are seen as like an illusion. Just as the mind does not exist internally, externally, or both, and is not truly seen, so too all phenomena are not truly seen. Just as the mind is seen as having no form, not being demonstrable, having no obstruction, no appearance, no consciousness, no reliance, and no place, so too are all phenomena seen. A Bodhisattva who sees in this way attains equanimity of mind. Having attained equanimity of mind, he does not conceptualize, does not regress, does not abandon, does not grasp, and does not desire. Whoever does not desire does not grasp. Whoever does not grasp does not grasp completely, and will not again become afflicted. A Bodhisattva without afflictions is shown by all the Buddhadharmas, and, O Blessed One, this is the true declaration of the Dharma. The Bodhisattva Akashagarbha asked: O Blessed One, a Bodhisattva should not speak any words that would harm sentient beings. He should not speak any words that would cause suffering to others. A Bodhisattva should not speak any words that others cannot understand. He should not speak any words that are irrelevant to others or meaningless. He should not speak any words that do not generate wisdom. He should not speak any words that do not touch the hearts of sentient beings, are not understood by the assembly, and are unpleasant to the ear. He should not speak any words that would lead to conflict. O Blessed One, a Bodhisattva should not speak any words that do not lead to the understanding of emptiness. Why is that? Because any words that lead to the understanding of emptiness are the best of all words. O Blessed One, anyone who sees all phenomena as empty, unmoving, non-dual, and free from duality, yet does not abandon all the actions of sentient beings, this is his unobstructed great compassion. Furthermore, acting with unobstructed great compassion, he learns the teachings of the Buddhas.

Whoever learns the teachings of the Buddha will obtain the treasury of space. Having obtained the treasury of space, they will completely give whatever is needed, but they will not perceive giving and stinginess as a duality. They will not cling to discipline, nor to the discipline of misconduct. They will not cling to patience, nor to harmful thoughts. They will not cling to diligence, nor to laziness. They will not cling to meditation, nor to distraction. They will not cling to wisdom, nor to perverse wisdom. Therefore, they neither desire the Dharma of the Buddha nor completely abandon the Dharma of ordinary beings. O Blessed One, it is like this: just as all the rivers that flow into the great ocean have one taste, the taste of salt, so too, whatever Dharmas appear to a Bodhisattva who is wise in the ultimate truth, all of them have one taste, the taste of liberation. O Blessed One, it is like this: just as the sun illuminates all things, so too, the Bodhisattva illuminates all Dharmas with wisdom. O Blessed One, all Dharmas are not in contradiction with emptiness. O Blessed One, a Bodhisattva who understands in this way truly sees all Dharmas as perfectly awakened. Whoever truly sees all Dharmas as perfectly awakened, whatever they speak, all of it is considered the word of the Buddha. Whoever understands in this way shows no attachment. Whoever shows no attachment is called unhindered confidence. O Blessed One, this is the true expression of the Dharma. Then, Manjushri, the youthful one, said to the Blessed One: O Blessed One, the Bodhisattva has thoroughly distinguished the perfections. O Blessed One, the world's wrong view is that the perfections distinguish the Bodhisattva. O Blessed One, if the perfections distinguish the Bodhisattva, then all beings would become Bodhisattvas. O Blessed One, the Bodhisattva is the one who generates and comprehends the perfections, and having generated them, also truly reveals them to others. Therefore, O Blessed
