One should not think that (the Tathagata) is going to the minister of Lapo or to any sentient being, but the body, speech, and mind activities of the Tathagata, with wisdom as the guide, proceed in this way. The Tathagata has no obscurity or drowsiness, no excrement or urine, and the body is not weak. He practices begging for food and also eats food, but does not eat completely. Everything is naturally accomplished, without discrimination. In order to fully ripen sentient beings, the activities will not cease. The Tathagata does not think like this: 'This sentient being is inferior, this one is intermediate, this one is superior. To this one, I will speak inferior words; to this one, I will speak intermediate words; to this one, I will speak superior words.' He does not think like this, but without discrimination, just like a vessel, the Tathagata teaches the Dharma without increase or decrease. The Tathagata does not think like this: 'This sentient being has not shown me respect, has not made offerings, and has spoken unpleasant words, so I should not speak any words to this person. This person has shown me respect, made offerings, drawn pictures, praised and extolled me, so I should speak to this person.' He does not think like this, but the Tathagata treats enemies and friends equally. The Tathagata is not arrogant, not negligent, not attached, not angry, not miserly, will not become miserly, not attached, not dependent, not a proximate affliction, but speaks of the praise of those who practice in solitary places, are separated from desires, and delight in solitude. Because he possesses wisdom like a mirror, the Tathagata does not lack knowledge of all knowable things, does not lack understanding, and does not lack comprehension. He observes what should be done and what should not be done, and teaches that and that sentient being accordingly. The Tathagata is not pleased with the perfect benefit of sentient beings, nor is he displeased with what has not been obtained. For those who have correctly entered the right path, great unobstructed love arises. For those who have wrongly entered the wrong path, great unobstructed compassion arises. Son of the lineage, the Bodhisattva enters the ten ways of Dharma practice.

They should comprehend the conduct of the Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha Buddhas. Son of good family, a Bodhisattva should comprehend the analogies and similarities of the Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha Buddhas through ten ways of entering the Dharma. What are the ten? For example, the sun equally shines and equally appears to all beings, inferior, middling, superior, faithful, and unfaithful. Similarly, the Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha Buddha also equally shines and equally illuminates the light of wisdom to all beings, inferior, middling, superior, faithful, and unfaithful. For example, the nature of space is unobscured to all beings everywhere, but it appears to be obscured by sudden smoke, clouds, dust, and dirt. Similarly, the Tathāgata is also like space, whose nature is unobscured to all beings, but because beings are obscured by clinging to self and clinging to mine, like sudden smoke, clouds, dust, and dirt, they do not see or experience the Tathāgata. For example, fire exists in all wood, but if the conditions and effort are not complete, it will not burn and will not fulfill its own needs. Similarly, the Tathāgata also abides in all that is knowable, but if the conditions and effort such as faith are not complete, it will not arise and will not accomplish the deeds of the Buddhas. For example, different colors are poured into one container, and then different strips of cloth are dipped into the many colors. Just as the dipping object determines the color, the colors adhere to the cloth, but the colors themselves do not discriminate or make distinctions. Similarly, the Tathāgata is a gathering of various roots of virtue, and just as one dips with the rope of faith, beings see the Tathāgata and also receive the qualities of the Tathāgata. For example, a river full of water flows downwards even when praised; it flows downwards even when spoken to with hatred and evil words. Similarly, the Tathāgata, even when praised,
