He sees that he has attained a state of non-cessation and non-movement. He does not think, "I am in equanimity, while others are distracted." He does not truly rejoice in other samādhis that are liberated from self and others, and he does not diminish his diligence in accomplishing perfect enlightenment; this is the bodhisattva's practice of meditation. What is the bodhisattva's practice of wisdom? Here, the bodhisattva does not truly rejoice in any dharma that is liberated from dependent arising, any dharma that is liberated from emptiness, any dharma that is liberated from signlessness, any dharma that is liberated from wishlessness, or any dharma that is liberated from space, and he does not diminish his diligence in the path to enlightenment and in maturing sentient beings; this is the bodhisattva's practice of wisdom. What is the bodhisattva's practice of skillful means? The bodhisattva does not fixate on self, yet constantly engages in concealing himself. He does not fixate on sentient beings, yet constantly engages in the effort to fully ripen sentient beings. He does not fixate on afflictions, yet constantly engages in concealing the senses. Therefore, no form that is not the form of the Buddha appears, yet he constantly desires to see the Buddha. Therefore, no sound that is not the sound of the Dharma is heard, yet he is constantly never satisfied with hearing the Dharma. He does not fixate on samsara, yet constantly possesses a mind that fears samsara. He does not truly rejoice in nirvana, yet he also completely gives up all possessions in order to comprehend nirvana. He does not fixate on the Buddha and enlightenment, yet he manifestly accomplishes hundreds and thousands of aspirations in order to comprehend the Buddha's enlightenment; this is called the bodhisattva's practice of skillful means. What is the bodhisattva's practice of aspiration? Here, the bodhisattva does not truly rejoice in any decrease or increase of any dharma, but rejoices in all the roots of virtue of all sentient beings, and dedicates them to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.

He makes the intention. Having shared his own roots of virtue with all sentient beings, may I attain the unsurpassed, perfectly complete, and fully awakened enlightenment through this. May my Buddha-field be like this. May the retinue be perfectly complete like this, and in this way, he completely dedicates it to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete, and fully awakened enlightenment. That aspiration will also be truly fulfilled, and it will not fail to be fulfilled. That discipline is unbroken, undiminished, unmixed, not coarse, praised by the wise, and protected. By abiding in that discipline, the aspiration of the mind will be fulfilled. This is called the accomplishment of the aspiration of a Bodhisattva. Then, what is the accomplishment of the power of a Bodhisattva? If someone transforms into the form of a Buddha and comes to the Bodhisattva, trying to turn him away from the enlightenment of the Buddha, to turn back his intention, to separate him, but that Bodhisattva's intention will not turn back, he will remember enlightenment itself. He will remember the essence of enlightenment. Subduing the Maras, turning the excellent wheel of Dharma, and manifesting great compassion. Whichever sentient being tries to turn back that Bodhisattva's intention, to separate him, to completely turn him away, the Bodhisattva will not become angry with that sentient being, but will generate great love and great compassion for that sentient being, and will not diminish from the power of faith, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom. Therefore, by that power of non-retrogression, countless immeasurable sentient beings are placed and introduced into the enlightenment of the Buddha. This is called the accomplishment of the power of a Bodhisattva. Then, what is the accomplishment of the wisdom of a Bodhisattva? For this Bodhisattva, there is no birth, no death, and no aging here. These are merely dharmas, separated from self and what belongs to self. He truly knows all dharmas as they are, and by that very power of wisdom, countless immeasurable sentient beings are placed in that power of wisdom. He is by all sentient beings
