Should be understood. Son of the family, the Bodhisattva, through ten ways of entering the Dharma, comprehends the power of the ripening of all virtues. What are the ten? For example, the moon in the water is the reflection of the moon in the sky, but the moon in the water is not real. Likewise, due to the causes and conditions of manifesting virtue, various pleasing virtuous results arise. Just as the moon in the sky does not move into the water, the conditioned actions of virtuous deeds also do not move into conditioned actions. However, from the causes and conditions of the actions of existence, the power of the ripening of existence itself also arises. For example, from a single peacock feather, various forms appear to living beings. Similarly, from a single manifestation of virtue by Bodhisattvas, various ripened results appear. However, those conditioned actions of karma do not move into the peacock's feathers, but from that cause, the power of the ripening of the peacock's feathers also arises. Likewise, the accumulated virtuous actions of existence do not move into existence, but relying on the virtuous actions of existence, the power of the ripening of existence itself also arises. For example, with the manifestation of extremely rare and wonderful virtuous actions, the manifestor causes a rain of flowers to fall from the sky, and those flowers also become endowed with the power of form, smell, and so on. However, the roots of virtue that have performed rare and wonderful deeds do not move into those flowers of the sky, the nature of the rare and wonderful is also different, and the nature of those flowers is also different. Likewise, the conditioned actions of virtuous deeds also do not move into the virtuous deeds of existence, but the power of the ripening of the actions of the conditioned actions of virtuous deeds will also arise. For example, for those who practice the Dharma very diligently, without moving the cymbals, a sound naturally arises for the sake of offering, but the practitioner does not move into the cymbals, the nature of the practitioner is also different, and the nature of those cymbals is also different, but due to the cause of the practitioner, the cymbals naturally emit sound without being moved.
