is reprehensible. Doubt is of two kinds: that which obstructs the vehicle and that which obstructs certainty. Among these, doubt that obstructs the vehicle is the doubt that questions what quickly and manifestly perfects enlightenment, thinking: What is the use of staying for so long? The Hearer's Vehicle or the Solitary Realizer's Vehicle is faster, quickly exhausting suffering, and thus abandoning the Great Vehicle. This is doubt that obstructs the vehicle. What is doubt that obstructs certainty? It is the doubt that does not enter into certainty, that is, it does not enter into the realm of certainty. This is doubt that obstructs certainty. These are the two kinds of doubt. Among these, taking as supreme is wishing for the fruit of well-practiced generosity and so on, thinking: May I, through generosity and discipline and so on, become a god or some god, and so on. All of these are wrong aspirations. This is called taking as supreme. Pride is called pride because of arrogance. This is bad. Thinking: I am noble, I am equal to him, and so on. Arrogance is pride. Agitation is of two kinds: generating afflictions and extreme arrogance. Generating afflictions is to completely fixate on form as pure, and then to act contrary with body, speech, and mind. This is what the noble ones condemn. Extreme arrogance is extreme arrogance in the very path of definite emergence, extreme pursuit, and self-conceit. This is called agitation. Bodhisattvas should understand the non-concordant aspects of emptiness through these ten ways of entering the Dharma. Second Chapter Son of lineage, Bodhisattvas should understand the teaching of emptiness through the ten ways of entering the Dharma. What are the ten? They are: not being robbed, not being transformed, being without attachment and not being separated from attachment, being without entering and without leaving, being without fighting and without contention, being without decrease and without increase, all phenomena being of their own nature.

Enduring the cracking of the earth, and not being afraid upon hearing that no dharma is produced by ordinary beings, nor stopped by the Buddhas; not doubting upon hearing that the nature of samsara and the nature of nirvana are the same; entering upon hearing that the body of the Tathagata is permanent, and that all dharmas are imperishable. Here, how does one comprehend the speaker of emptiness through non-seizure? The speaker of emptiness is not seized by worldly dharmas because he does not abide. He is not delighted by gain, nor displeased by loss. He is not pleased by fame, nor withered by obscurity. He is not disheartened by blame, nor does he rejoice in praise. He does not become attached to pleasure, nor does he become disgusted by suffering. Whoever is not seized by worldly dharmas in this way is one who knows emptiness. Thus, one comprehends the speaker of emptiness through non-seizure. How does one comprehend the speaker of emptiness through non-movement? The speaker of emptiness does not move from anywhere, nor does he move to anywhere. He sees and knows as emptiness from where he moves and to where he moves. He also knows as emptiness that which does not move or move away. Thus, one comprehends the speaker of emptiness through non-movement. How does one comprehend the speaker of emptiness through being without attachment and also not being separate from attachment? The speaker of emptiness has neither attachment nor non-attachment to anything. He knows and sees as emptiness to what he is attached and to what he is not attached. He also knows as emptiness to what dharma he is attached and to what he is without attachment. Thus, one comprehends the speaker of emptiness through being without attachment and also not being separate from attachment. Here, how does one comprehend the speaker of emptiness through being without entering and without turning back? The speaker of emptiness does not enter into anything, nor does he turn back from anything. He knows and sees as emptiness into what he enters and from what he turns back. However, he also does not not enter into the accumulations of enlightenment. Whoever is like that
