In the mind-consciousness of the sense of self, there is no abiding from the beginning, because its nature is constant. If practiced and cultivated, it will be known from the beginning. All sentient beings revolve for eighty thousand kalpas. It has always abided in constancy, never separated or lost. Thus, it is thought to be constant. In this regard, when the root of consciousness is exhausted, that person has no birth and death in samsara. Because the cycle of birth and death is stopped, and the mind of consciousness is completely exhausted, there is no more desire. For this reason, it is established within that there is no self-birth and death. Because it is thought to be constant, one loses the rank of correct knowledge and falls into the midst of the heretics. The path to enlightenment is confused. Its name is the second heretic who pervades constantly. Sons of lineage, if you are single-mindedly and uninterruptedly focused on the samadhi of reality, you will not be deceived by the methods of demons. Knowing the cause of one's own root. From the profound union, the thought of self and other arises as constant. This arises within the four inversions. Some see it as impermanent. Some see it as permanent. One of these is that the person sees the sight of sentient beings as destroyed. In the ten directions, I am constantly pervasive. Thinking that I exist and do not move, I pervade the ten directions and do not move below. All sentient beings are born and die from within me. My nature is constant. Birth and death from within me is the nature of impermanence. The second is that the person does not look at sentient beings, but looks at the ten directions as pervasive. The world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges are seen as being in a state of destruction at the end of the kalpa. Now it is all impermanent. The state of various natures that has not been destroyed is thought to be inherently constant. The third is that the person looks at sentient beings, and I and the subtle field are like fine dust. Revolving from the ten directions, the nature does not change. That body also dies when it is born. Because it is not destroyed, my nature is constant. All birth and death arise from me and are the cause. It is thought to be of constant nature. The fourth is that the aggregate of consciousness is known to be exhausted. The aggregate of formation is seen as flowing. The aggregate of formation is constant.

Illusion is the nature of being permanent. Form, feeling, perception, etc., are blocked and exhausted, and it is thought that they are impermanent. If one thinks that some aspects are impermanent, then one falls into the heretics and misses the nature of enlightenment. That is called the third of the eternalist heretics. Furthermore, sons of good families, if one is single-mindedly and uninterruptedly focused on the true reality in samadhi, the demons will be discouraged. If one arises from the earth with thoughts and objects, that person will fall into the four extremes. The first of these is that the person becomes attached to the root of birth, and the behavior of wandering is not cut off. The past and the future are the extremes, and he thinks that not being interrupted is being separated from the extremes. The second is that if a person investigates for eighty thousand kalpas, then after that, there is no place for beings to see, hear, and know. That is being separated from the extremes. He thinks that the place where beings exist is finite. The third is that the person knows that I am pervasive, and after hearing that nature of being separated from the extremes, all beings appear from within me. I also cannot know the nature of the consciousness of beings, so because of that, he has not obtained the mind that is separated from the extremes, but he thinks that there is also a mind that abides in the extremes. The fourth is that if the emptiness of formations is cut off, then one will think that all beings are born from one body, half are born and half die. Because half of the world is finite and half is separated from that extreme, the heretics fall into the views of finite and infinite, and miss the nature of enlightenment. That is called the fourth of the finite-view heretics. Sons of good families, if one is single-mindedly and uninterruptedly focused on true samadhi, the demons will be discouraged. The root of the lineage of birth is exhausted. If one investigates the profound and blissful, and the root cause of the constant confusion of afflictions is not exhausted, then thoughts will arise. That person is one of the four inversions, confused in the pervasiveness of the unborn, and is the untruth that is inferred from it. One of these is that if a person investigates the root of the rise and fall of the mind, he will see that the mind is constantly flowing, and that is one change after another.
