The assembly of Shangshang birds, in order to serve the Blessed One, circumambulated the Blessed One three times and took their place in one direction in the Light Garden, where the Kalanda birds resided. Again, at that time, all the assemblies of birds, at the time of Phyem Red, arose from their respective abodes and came to where the Blessed One was, joining their wings in the manner of folded palms. They bowed their heads to the feet of the Blessed One and uttered hundreds of thousands of pleasing sounds, filling the entire sky. In order to serve the Blessed One, they circumambulated the Blessed One three times and took their place in one direction in the Light Garden, where the Kalanda birds resided. Again, at that time, the mountain god who guards Mount Sumeru, the king of mountains, and hundreds of thousands of great guarding mountain gods, together with the son of the gods, Great Light, at the time of Phyem Red, arose from their respective abodes and came to where the Blessed One was. They bowed their heads to the feet of the Blessed One, circumambulated the Blessed One three times, and took their place in one direction in the Light Garden, where the Kalanda birds resided. Again, at that time, the goddesses of the assembly of medicine residing on the Snow Mountain, at the time of Phyem Red, arose from their respective abodes and came to where the Blessed One was. They circumambulated the Blessed One three times, and beautifully seated themselves on the Vulture Peak Mountain. They bowed with folded palms towards where the Blessed One was, making the entire city of Rajgir (Rajgir, Nalanda district, Bihar) together with Vulture Peak Mountain appear, and sat in one direction. Again, at that time, drums, large drums, cymbals, conches, iron bells, Hinadima, Khar drums, large clay drums, Walbisa, Pibang, single-sided clay drums, bells, flutes, Shuka, Shunala, and so forth, without being struck, without being prepared, without being played, emitted harmonious musical sounds.
