Non-humans who generate disbelief and harbor resentment reside here. Son of good family, when a Bodhisattva charnel ground practitioner enters a monastery, he prostrates to the stupa of the Tathagata, prostrates to the elder monks, and also makes the new monks happy, and then stands and sits down. He should not sit on the seat of the Sangha. Son of good family, why is that? A Bodhisattva should harmonize with the mind of the world. A Bodhisattva charnel ground practitioner is not in harmony with the non-noble world, but there is no disharmony with the noble ones. If a Bodhisattva charnel ground practitioner sits on someone's seat, he will by no means regret it, and others will not criticize him, this should be clearly understood. And after understanding the thoughts of that monk, he should sit on that seat with a humble mind, like treating a lowly person. Son of good family, if one possesses these ten dharmas, he is a Bodhisattva charnel ground practitioner. Son of good family, if one possesses ten dharmas, he is a Bodhisattva cross-legged sitter. What are the ten? For example: He does not sit to completely afflict the body, he does not sit to completely afflict the mind, he does not sit being overwhelmed by sleep, he does not sit because of physical exhaustion, but a Bodhisattva cross-legged sitter sits to completely fill the accumulation of Bodhi. He sits to make the mind one-pointed. He sits to make the path manifest. He sits to go to the essence of Bodhi. He sits to benefit sentient beings. He sits to abandon all afflictions. Son of good family, if one possesses these ten dharmas, he is a Bodhisattva cross-legged sitter. Son of good family, if one possesses ten dharmas, he is a Bodhisattva who dwells as it is. What are the ten? For example: They are those who do not cling to seats. He himself does not spread a seat, nor does he allow others to spread one. He does not indicate to spread one, or in other places, whether it is full of leaves or full of grass, he sleeps in those places, and stays far away from any place full of snakes, or full of bees and horseflies, or full of many holes.

also completely abandon for a long time. When they sleep, they lie on their right side, placing one foot on top of the other. They cover their bodies thoroughly with Dharma robes, and lie down with mindfulness and awareness, with the intention of being aware and getting up. They do not cling to the pleasure of sleep, nor to the pleasure of leaning. Moreover, they sleep in order for the great elements to abide and survive, and they are those who constantly and continuously turn towards virtue. Son of good family, if you possess these ten qualities, you are a Bodhisattva who is as he should be. Son of good family, if you possess ten qualities, you are a Bodhisattva who practices yoga. What are the ten? They are: those who meditate much on the impure, those who meditate much on love, those who meditate much on dependent origination, those who are skilled in faults, those who meditate much on emptiness, those who meditate much on the signless, those who meditate much on yoga, those who meditate much constantly, those who are without regret, and those who are fully endowed with morality. Son of good family, how does a Bodhisattva meditate much on the impure? Son of good family, here, a Bodhisattva goes alone to a solitary place, and having properly established himself inwardly, he manifestly turns towards extreme solitude, and with a mind of extreme weariness, with his body upright and relaxed, sits in the lotus position, establishes mindfulness before him, and with a mind that does not go outward, he thinks thus: Whatever food people eat, whether it is clean food and drink, or good, bad, tasty, or tasteless, all of it, upon contact with the body's fire, becomes filthy, rotten, and foul-smelling, and incompatible with the whole world. Yet, these children are extremely infatuated and attached to it. We abide in the Dharma and discipline of the noble ones, and having examined it as it is with correct wisdom, we should not be infatuated or attached to such a body. Therefore, we should not generate a mind of weariness either. Thus it is
