Do. It is called the Correct Edge. It is called Omniscience. It is called Knowledge of All Aspects. It is called the Inconceivable Realm. It is called the Non-Dual Realm. The Bodhisattva, the one who removes all obscurations, asked: Blessed One, how is this Dharma to be realized? How is it to be understood? The Blessed One replied: Son of good family, it is to be realized through wisdom that transcends the world. It is to be understood through one's own knowledge. The Bodhisattva, the one who removes all obscurations, asked: Blessed One, is that which is realized through wisdom not understood through one's own knowledge? The Blessed One replied: Son of good family, it is not. Why is that? Because wisdom sees all dharmas as they truly are. The body realizes it. The Bodhisattva, the one who removes all obscurations, asked: Blessed One, are those sons of good family who understand the Dharma through the knowledge arising from hearing or the knowledge arising from thinking not using their own knowledge? The Blessed One replied: Son of good family, it is not so. Merely by hearing or merely by thinking, one cannot understand the Dharma through one's own knowledge. Son of good family, therefore, listen to an example. Son of good family, it is like this: For example, in a great wilderness in the last month of spring, a certain person goes from east to west. Then another person comes from west to east. He is also afflicted by the heat of spring and distressed by thirst. He says to the person who came from the east: Hey, sir, I am afflicted by the heat of spring and distressed by thirst. Where is there a lake, or a pond, or a pool, whose water is cool and without turbidity, filled with clarity? Where can my heat and thirst be completely quenched? Please show me the way. The person who came from the east is also a knower of the path, skilled in the path, a seer of the path, one who has seen the signs of the path. He has seen water there before, free from the faults of water, has experienced it before, and has entered it before. He says to that person: Hey, friend, from this road, the road forks.

Until you see it. Hey, son of good family, abandon the left path, and go from the right path until you see the blue forest, and in the middle of that forest, a lake, or a pond, or a cool and clear puddle without impurities, filled with light. There, son of good family, you will be without thirst and heat. If it is said like that, son of good family, what do you think? A person who is completely tormented by the heat of spring and threatened by thirst, will he be free from heat just by hearing about water, or just by thinking about it? Will he be free from thirst? Will he himself perceive the coolness of that water? He replied: Lord Buddha, no. The Lord Buddha said: If that person goes there and enters that water to bathe, then that person's heat will disappear, and he will also be free from thirst, and he will also perceive the coolness himself. The Lord Buddha said: Similarly, son of good family, just by hearing or just by thinking, one cannot comprehend the Dharma that one knows for oneself. Son of good family, the term "wilderness" refers to the common term for the wilderness of samsara. The so-called "person who is completely tormented by the heat of spring and threatened by thirst" refers to the common term for sentient beings who are completely tormented by the torment of afflictions and threatened by the desire for objects. The so-called "person who knows the path" refers to the common term for those who are skilled in the path of the Bodhisattva's omniscience, who experience the Dharma, and who know the Dharma for themselves. The so-called "cool and clear water without impurities" refers to the common term for the Dharma-nature of ultimate truth. Again, son of good family, listen to a parable. Son of good family, what do you think? If the Tathagata's lifespan were to last for a kalpa, and in front of the people of Jambudvipa, like this, starting from the nectar of the gods, which is fragrant, pure, abundant, extremely delicious, and feels pleasant to the touch, praises are uttered endlessly. Son of good family, what do you think? Will those beings themselves perceive the praise of the nectar of the gods? He replied: Lord Buddha, no. The Lord Buddha said: Son of good family, therefore, how you have heard or thought about in this way
