Therefore, it is difficult for the Tathagata to do this. Sons of good family, even those sentient beings who generate a single virtuous thought in a world system that is so completely afflicted like this, it is also difficult to do. Why is that? In a world system that is completely pure, what is so amazing about there being sentient beings who are completely pure? In a world system that is so completely afflicted like that, even if one can find faith occasionally, even if one can take refuge in the Buddha, take refuge in the Dharma, take refuge in the Sangha, even if one can uphold the precepts correctly occasionally, this conduct is extremely wonderful. Even more wonderful than that, even if one can abide with a mind that is free from desire occasionally, this is extremely wonderful. Even more wonderful than that, even if one can cultivate a compassionate mind occasionally, and generate the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, this is extremely wonderful. Those Bodhisattvas requested: "Bhagavan, it is wonderful! Sugata, it is wonderful!" Then, all those Bodhisattvas, headed by Sarvanivaranaviskambhin and others, said: "Excellent! Bhagavan!" Having heard such a corresponding teaching from the Bhagavan, they bowed their heads at the feet of that Bhagavan, and disappeared from their respective places. Having disappeared, in order to make offerings to the Bhagavan Shakyamuni, some emanated trees of precious jewels, complete with flowers, complete with fruits, filled with water and vastness.

Gathered together. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the one who dispels all obscurations, went with them to the Saha world. Then, the Bodhisattva who dispels all obscurations said to those Bodhisattvas: "Alas! Friends, the beings of the Saha world are suffering! Therefore, in order to make all those beings attain supreme bliss, such a miraculous manifestation should be well manifested." All the Bodhisattvas said "Good" and listened to the instructions of the Bodhisattva who dispels all obscurations. Then, what kind of miraculous manifestation did the Bodhisattva who dispels all obscurations manifest? From the body of the Bodhisattva who dispels all obscurations, light arose, that light was bright, immaculate, pure, pleasing, and made body and mind extremely joyful. That light pervaded and illuminated this three-thousand-great-thousand world system. Whatever beings in this three-thousand-great-thousand world system were in the bodies of hell beings, in the bodies of animals, or in the bodies of Yama's world, were touched by that light and freed from the feeling of suffering, becoming happy, free from anger and malice, and recognizing each other as parents. Whatever inter-world darkness was in this three-thousand-great-thousand world system, no matter how dark, even the sun and moon, which are known to have such great miraculous power, such great strength, and such great authority, could not illuminate, were pervaded and illuminated by that light. Whatever beings were born there could see each other. All the surrounding mountains, all the great surrounding mountains, the mountain holders, all the great mountain holders, and other black mountains that were not those in this three-thousand-great-thousand world system were pervaded and illuminated by that light. Upwards to the Brahma world and downwards to the Avici hell,

Up to the great hells of the earth, there was no place that was not illuminated by that light, and in this way, miraculous powers were manifested. Not only that, but other Bodhisattvas also manifested such miraculous powers that sentient beings who desired food obtained food, those who desired drink obtained drink, those who desired clothes obtained clothes, those who desired mounts obtained mounts, those who desired wealth obtained wealth, the blind obtained eyes, the deaf heard sounds, the naked became clothed, the insane regained their memory, the suffering became happy, and pregnant women gave birth easily, and in this way, miraculous powers were manifested. Then, all the Bodhisattvas, led by those who completely eliminate all obscurations, approached the area of Gaya and the mountain of Gaya's summit, Kalava, and as soon as those holy beings approached, this realm of the three thousand great thousand worlds appeared to be covered by a net of jewels. From the sky above, a rain of divine lotuses was clearly poured down. Clouds of divine flowers, clouds of divine fruits, clouds of divine garlands, clouds of divine incense, clouds of divine garments, clouds of divine powders, divine robes, umbrellas, banners, and flags, a rain of clouds was clearly poured down. When these were clearly poured down, all sentient beings who touched them became extremely happy. In the area of Gaya and the mountain of Gaya's summit, all ordinary trees and ordinary ground disappeared. In those places, trees of jewels, wish-fulfilling trees, trees of flowers, trees of fruits, trees of sandalwood, and trees of agarwood appeared everywhere, and those became completely beautiful. From the sky, divine cymbals emitted sounds, and from those cymbals, these verses also arose: He who was born in the most excellent grove of Lumbini, the incomparable one who is never controlled by afflictions, to that one who is equal to the sky, I pay homage, this most excellent mountain.
