Son of lineage, if you possess these ten qualities, you are a disciplined Bodhisattva. What are the ten? They are: Those whose minds of enlightenment are steadfast. Those whose minds of enlightenment are thoroughly cleansed. Those who restrain their senses. Those who have entered the path. Those who are able to bear great burdens. Those who are never weary of benefiting sentient beings. Those who live righteously. Those who are free from all hypocrisy and flattery for gain. Those who are free from deceit. Those who are honest by nature, who are upright. Son of lineage, if you possess these ten qualities, you are a disciplined Bodhisattva. Son of lineage, if you possess these ten qualities, you are a wise Bodhisattva. What are the ten? They are: Those who practice yoga because they meditate extensively on emptiness. Those who do not interrupt the continuity of the path because they are free from obscurations and all arising. Those who act according to the teachings because they do not violate the Tathagata's commands. Those who comprehend the equality of all dharmas because they understand the nature of the realm of Dharma. Those who conduct themselves in the world like outcasts with a humble mind. Those who are free from pride, arrogance, and conceit because they constantly and uninterruptedly remember to receive alms. Those who have no hesitation in all the Buddha's teachings because they know this manifestly. Those who have no doubt because they know the Dharma themselves. Those who are not led by others and do not rely on others because they have seen the path themselves. Those who have renounced and become a place of giving in the world. Son of lineage, if you possess these ten qualities, you are a wise Bodhisattva. Son of lineage, if you possess these ten qualities, you are like a lotus Bodhisattva. What are the ten? They are: Those who are undefiled. Those who do not dwell together even with small sins. Those who have the fragrance of morality. Those who are pure. Those who have smiling faces.
