It is a transformation. Just as one closely attends to and serves a king, it is the same for a lowborn person. In this way, the bodhisattva becomes common to all sentient beings. If asked, how should a bodhisattva be venerated? Noble son, for example, fire is venerated by brahmins, kshatriyas, townspeople, and local people. Similarly, the bodhisattva is also venerated by gods, humans, asuras, gandharvas, and other beings in the world, who regard him as a teacher. In this way, the bodhisattva should be venerated. If asked, how should one not be despised? Noble son, for example, even a small spark of fire has the nature of burning, so it should not be despised. Similarly, a bodhisattva who abides in faith practice, even if he has not yet attained power and strength, and is a beginner in the Great Vehicle, should not be despised by gods, humans, asuras, and other beings in the world. Why is that? Because gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, and asuras know that this bodhisattva will soon sit under the Bodhi tree and attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Therefore, the bodhisattva should not be despised. Noble son, if a bodhisattva possesses these ten qualities, he is like fire. Noble son, if a bodhisattva possesses ten qualities, he is like wind. What are the ten? They are: acting without dwelling, having boundless realms of activity, causing the peak of sentient beings' arrogance to crumble, collapse, and utterly fall, universally generating great clouds of Dharma rain, completely pacifying the suffering of all beings' afflictions, causing the breath of white Dharma to arise in harmony with the bodies of all sentient beings, closely connecting inhalation with life, holding all immeasurable clouds of Dharma rain, distinguishing and arranging all the arrangements of the immeasurable palace of various forms of Dharma, and the Dharma of the retinue wheel that arises from the wish-fulfilling tree.

Constantly showering delightful rains of flowers of impeccable and pure speech, and for the sake of intensely emitting the mandala of the wind of destructive wisdom that transfers to the unsurpassed and incorporeal state, where many fully matured beings abide correctly in the mandala of the retinue of sentient beings, surrounded by Mount Meru, light, moon, sun, the principle of Dharma, forests, houses, mountains of virtuous environments, and so on, having completely accumulated the white mandala in countless eons. Son of the lineage, how does a Bodhisattva act without abiding? Son of the lineage, it is like this: for example, the wind is unobstructed in all places, without abode, without support. Although it is formless, it appears to perform its own function in all places such as forests, houses, palaces, Mount Meru, and the ocean. Likewise, the Bodhisattva, like the wind, does not abide in all dharmas. He does not abide in the aggregates, elements, and sources. He does not abide in form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness. He does not abide in the eye element, the form element, and the eye consciousness element. He does not abide in the ear element, the sound element, and the ear consciousness element. He does not abide in the nose element, the smell element, and the nose consciousness element. He does not abide in the tongue element, the taste element, and the tongue consciousness element. He does not abide in the body element, the touch element, and the body consciousness element. He does not abide in the mind element, the dharma element, and the mind consciousness element. He does not abide in the eye source, the form source. He does not abide in the ear source, the sound source. He does not abide in the nose source, the smell source. He does not abide in the tongue source, the taste source. He does not abide in the body source, the touch source. He does not abide in the mind source, the dharma source. He does not abide in worldly dharmas, nor does he abide in transcendental dharmas. He does not abide in all the perfections of gods and humans, nor does he abide in the wheel-turning king, Indra, Brahma, and the protectors of the world.

and transform into great sovereigns, transform into hearers and solitary realizers, as well as the bodhisattva grounds, and even omniscience, they do not abide. Because they do not abide in all of these, they are not transformed by various forms of conceit such as things, non-things, one, different, suchness, etc., and possess a realm of activity that is without object and without the obscuration of liberation. They also act as Indra, Brahma, world protectors, and so on. In order to obtain all the benefits of all sentient beings in all the infinite and boundless realms of the ten directions, they move in all times until the end of the future. In terms of the Dharma body, they are both invisible and non-conceptual, non-discriminating. Thus, bodhisattvas act without abiding. Son of good family, how is it that bodhisattvas are limitless in all realms of activity? Son of good family, it is like this: for example, the wind touches countless realms of the ten directions, shaking and moving. Son of good family, likewise, bodhisattvas, like the wind, fully see and expand all limitless dharmas in conventional and ultimate truth. They touch, establish, and show. In the mandalas of the Tathagata's retinue, the mandalas of the bodhisattva's retinue, and in the places of all beings, they possess the speed of mind and, having become a realm of activity that reaches the end of all directions, they move and go. Son of good family, thus bodhisattvas are limitless in all realms of activity. Son of good family, how do bodhisattvas shatter, destroy, and utterly crush the peak of sentient beings' pride? Son of good family, it is like this: for example, the wind makes the peaks of mountains, houses, and forests droop, utterly crushes them, completely destroys them, shatters them, and makes them cease to exist. Likewise, bodhisattvas, like the wind, also cause those who are exalted by the peak of sentient beings' pride, conceit, arrogance, and view of the aggregates to, in form, prosperity, and
