in between rely on. After the task is completed, obtaining a mind free from desire, obtaining regret, and obtaining unpleasantness in the mind, this is called intermediate attachment. So what is small attachment? Whoever relies on desires, even if it's just smelling, applying, slightly touching the body, or just saying a word, or just seeing it, becomes satisfied, this is called small attachment. In short, having an attachment to all necessities of life is called attachment. So what is hatred? Hatred should also be understood in three ways: great, intermediate, and small. So what is great hatred? Which manifestation of hatred, being hateful, fierce, and violent, commits any of the five inexpiable sins, or abandons the sacred Dharma, whatever is done, even if the five inexpiable sins are added together, it cannot even come close to the number. It cannot even come close in part, count, metaphor, and cause, doing like that. That (hatred) is the cause of that (evil realm), the condition of that (evil realm), the basis of that (evil realm), after the body is destroyed, one will be born in the great hells. If by chance one is born as a human in the hundred paths, one will also become dark, red-eyed, fierce, and have a strong intention to harm. That (hatred) is the cause of that (evil realm), the condition of that (evil realm), the basis of that (evil realm), and one will again be born in the hells, this is called great hatred. So what is intermediate hatred? Whoever becomes hateful, if one does sinful non-virtuous deeds, quickly, quickly, swiftly, swiftly, immediately, immediately regrets, and also relies on the antidote, this is called intermediate hatred. So what is small hatred? Whoever becomes hateful, just saying some words, or some unpleasant words, or some abusive words, starting with non-virtue, etc., sometimes one may faint because of this, even if it happens, in that instant, that moment, that short while, one relies on the antidote, this is called small hatred. So what is ignorance? Ignorance should also be understood in three ways: great, intermediate, and small. So what is great ignorance? Whoever is happy even with faults in those states mentioned above, does not feel sad, does not utter lamentations, has no regrets, that is

It is called great delusion. What is medium delusion? Whoever does some unwholesome deeds, but regrets them again and again, confesses and does not hide them in front of those who practice the same Brahma conduct, and does not regard that as a merit, this is called medium delusion. What is small delusion? Whoever transgresses two or three of the paths of learning and practice, which are not faulty by nature, but are faulty by precepts, that is called small delusion. Furthermore, Bodhisattvas are skilled in turning the mind Sanskrit Romanization: vāpasa, Chinese literal meaning: return). Being skilled in mind in this way, there is no such thing as delighting in desires, believing in desires, or being particularly attached to desires. Why is that? Because he is skilled in mind. However, if he engages in what has not been revealed, he is mindful and diligent, and strives to examine it. How does one engage in what has not been revealed? When the mind does not wander outward, nor does it wander inward, nor does it engage in virtue, nor does it engage in non-virtue, nor does it practice insight, nor does it cling to tranquility, but remains in a state of depression and drowsiness. Just as when a person wakes up drowsily, his eyes are blurred by sleep, and his mind is not clear, so at that time the mind becomes unclear. Therefore, Bodhisattvas are skilled in completely uplifting the mind, completely rejoicing, and completely abiding. In this way, Bodhisattvas are skilled in mind. Because he is so skilled in mind, he thinks: These dharmas are like illusions! These dharmas are like dreams! These dharmas are virtuous! These dharmas are non-virtuous! These dharmas arise! These dharmas do not arise! He thus fully understands all dharmas. He thinks: All these dharmas abide in the mind, arise from the mind, and the mind precedes all. If the mind is completely subdued, completely tamed, and completely understood, then all these dharmas will also become completely subdued, completely tamed, and completely understood. Because he sees dharmas in this way, he understands that that is its cause, that is its condition, that is its...
