It abides continuously, even abiding in the perception of having passed into nirvana. Great King, why is it called 'passed into nirvana'? Because it is the perception of nirvana. Great King, the perception of nirvana does not exist. Great King, the nirvana of a child is in the manner of a wheel and in the manner of a confluence of rivers. Great King, why is it called 'manner'? Because it is not an object of experience, it is not an object of experience for anyone anywhere. Not an object of experience for anyone means not an object of experience for perception. Great King, why is it called 'object of experience'? Because it conceals that mind, that great action, and the unreal object of experience. What is unreal? Whatever is not that alone is unreal. It is called non-existent because everything is unreal, therefore it is called non-existent. Great King, why is it called non-existent? Great King, there is no thing. Why does the unreal have no thing? Because the unreal is impermanent. The unreal is impure. The unreal is without self. The unreal is the impurity of existence. Whatever is not peaceful is unreal. Great King, likewise, that is inverted. Why is it called inverted? Great King, the inverted is neither on this shore, nor on the far shore, nor in between. Great King, then where is perception? What is that perception? It is perceiving impermanence, perceiving suffering, perceiving selflessness, and perceiving impurity. Great King, why is perception neither on this shore, nor on the far shore, nor in between? Because perceiving impermanence, one should only regard it as permanent. Great King, how will it be shown? Why is it called 'in between'? Great King, where there is no interval, the center is not seen either, then one should look at the end.

How does it transform? Great king, where the center is not found, there the edge is also not found. Where the edge is not found, there the going also completely ceases. Where the going completely ceases, there no one has gone. Where no one has gone, there is also no going. Where there is no going, there is no connection of rebirth. Where there is no connection of rebirth, that is the connection, enlightenment is only abiding. Where enlightenment abides, that is without grasping. Where there is no grasping, that is called sentient being, therefore the Bodhisattva is called the supreme of sentient beings. Therefore, the Bodhisattva is without grasping. Why is there no grasping? Because not grasping the object, therefore it is called without grasping. Great king, those are the supreme of the Dharma. Thus, the profound Dharma is shown and likewise explained, like this not done, not changed, not destroyed, the essence is emptiness. Great king, called essence, why is the essence emptiness? Because there is no entity of self, therefore all Dharmas are called essence emptiness. Great king, called profound, why is it called profound? Great king, it is the place where the steadfast enter. Great king, who are the steadfast? They are Bodhisattvas, great heroes, those enter. Why enter? Entering all Dharma emptiness, those who enter emptiness, those enter, therefore all Dharmas are called emptiness. Called not to be grasped, that is all Dharmas are without characteristics. Great king, why without characteristics? Great king, all Dharmas are without self, those without self are unteachable. Those unteachable are unmoving. Those unmoving are abiding. Those abiding are unaccomplished. Those unaccomplished are without waste. Those without waste are called the abiding Dharmadhatu of the Dharmas. Great king, called the abiding Dharmadhatu, why is it called Dharma abiding? Great king, Dharma is

Without a place. That which is called without a place is not perceived from the very beginning, and even the very beginning is not perceived. Those whose place is not perceived, their going is also nonexistent. Coming is also nonexistent. Whatever coming is not perceived, all of that is called the realm of emptiness. Great King, why is the realm not perceived? If one perceives a realm from within a realm, then that realm itself will become a realm. Great King, in that case, children will run towards liberation. Great King, why is liberation called liberation? Liberation is inexhaustible. Those who run towards the inexhaustible will become exhaustible. Those who become exhaustible will become completely exhaustible. Those who become completely exhaustible will become completely decayed. How does one become completely decayed? One becomes completely decayed from one's own nature. Those who become completely decayed, their gate of liberation is far away. Great King, why is a gate called a gate? Because one is completely delighted with both, therefore it is a gate. Great King, the so-called gate of liberation This is euphemistic speech. Great King, why is euphemistic speech called euphemistic speech? Because there is not even a little bit of speech here, and there is nothing to be understood there. Whatever has nothing to be understood is not something to be discerned. Great King, why is the unreasonable called unreasonable? Because it takes and rejects. What takes and rejects? Whatever has no taking and no rejecting. Those who reject are those who run around. Where do they run around? They run around towards enlightenment. They run around towards emptiness. Those who run around are very far from this teaching and closeness to enlightenment. Great King, why is closeness called closeness? It is neither close to enlightenment nor not close. Since enlightenment is not placed anywhere, therefore one should not speak of closeness to peace and non-closeness to peace. Great King, that which is called closeness to peace, and enlightenment
