All places are free from the harm of desire, free from hatred, free from ignorance, free from pride, free from concealing faults, free from jealousy, free from stinginess, free from anger, free from resentment, and free from malice. At that time, all sentient beings were filled with loving-kindness and regarded each other as parents. Then, the Bhagavan entered the samadhi called "Accomplished Nowhere, Nature of Space, Acting Without Signs." As soon as the Bhagavan arose from that samadhi, at that time, this three-thousand-great-thousand world shook in six ways. Then, all those sentient beings dwelling in this three-thousand-great-thousand world saw the conduct of the Tathagata, the miraculous displays of magic, and the various transformations of samadhi. Having seen this, forty-two thousand sons of the gods generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. At that time, all of them took heavenly mandara flowers and scattered them towards the cave of Indra's Rock and where the Bhagavan was. As soon as they had scattered them, they circumambulated the cave of Indra's Rock seven times and then disappeared. Again, at that time, the Bhagavan emanated an emanation in the cave of Indra's Rock and placed it there. The Bhagavan, the King of Entering Desire, went to the Buddha-field of the Tathagata, to the world called "Everywhere Light." Again, at that time, in all the Buddha-fields of the ten directions, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, Tathagatas equal to the sands of the Ganges appeared in the world during the age of the five degenerations. The Buddha-fields of those Buddhas were also extremely inferior, just like this Sahā world of the present Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha. The Buddha-fields of those Buddhas were extremely bad. Likewise, sentient beings have a great deal of desire, a great deal of hatred, a great deal of ignorance, are disrespectful, ungrateful, deceitful, hypocritical, and fond of inferior things. Those Buddhas, the Bhagavat.

If those sentient beings in that world also do not want to see (the Buddha) very much, and do not want to hear the Dharma, and do not need to preach the Dharma, and do not listen attentively, then the Tathagatas will also enter into the correct samadhi internally with skillful means, and manifest other manifestations, the Bhagavan Descending Desire King Tathagata in all Buddha lands called Universal Light, in order to explain and teach the Dharma called "Buddha Debate." Therefore, it is called "Buddha Debate." The Buddhas and Bhagavatans make Buddha debates for the sake of future beings, and do nothing else. After the Tathagata passes into complete nirvana, if sentient beings want to hear the Dharma, and the Buddhas and Bhagavatans, the lords of Dharma, also make Dharma debates, then why don't we make Dharma debates? They will think like this. The Buddha Bhagavan saw this reason, so he made Buddha debates. Also at that time, in the world called Universal Light, countless immeasurable Buddhas and Bhagavatans gathered together. Why? Why is the world called Universal Light? Because in that Buddha land, even the names of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas do not exist. That Buddha land is completely filled with Bodhisattvas. Those Bodhisattvas also arise from light itself, their bodies are like the color of gold, they are endowed with all kinds of perfect marks and characteristics, and everywhere the light of the Bodhisattvas emanates, so it is called the Universal Light world. So, what is Buddha Debate? It is like this: to realize the true nature of all Dharmas as they are. So, what are all Dharmas? What is true nature? What is realization? All Dharmas are one Dharma, and no one can say that that Dharma is Dharma or not Dharma. Why? Because those Dharmas are unborn and unceasing. Although those Dharmas are spoken of by the name of Dharma, the six internal sense bases and the six external sense bases and

The aggregates and realms are called all dharmas, and all of them are merely expressions. If there is no action of all dharmas, and one realizes them as they truly are, then there is no aggregate, no realm, no source, no permanence, and no annihilation. Therefore, there is no middle ground, which is the explanation of the equality of all dharmas. For example, all dharmas are said to be empty of inherent existence by name. That name also has no action, it is expressed by name. That name is also empty of inherent existence, which is called the Buddha's discourse. What is the principle? The principle is this: the principle of non-attachment, the principle of non-arising, the principle of solitude, the principle of suchness, the principle of thusness, the principle of the realm of dharma, and the principle of the ultimate truth. All dharmas are empty, this is the true principle. All dharmas are insufficient, unmoving, without action, future, not going, without self, without owner, without taking, without dependence. Because of utter exhaustion, they are exhausted. Because of non-arising, they are inexhaustible. Because they are solitary as they are, they have the nature of peace. Because they are separated from place, they are without place. Because they are separated from principle, they are without principle. There is no arising and no falling. They are separated. They are not bound, they are without binding. Because they are said to be unborn, they are equal to non-arising. Because they are not different, they are not equal. Whatever enters into letters is the principle. All dharmas are separated from name, not gone, not coming, not obtained, not lost, not taken, not abandoned, not spoken of as equal or unequal. Not seen, not heard, not remembered, not distinguished, not grasped, not fully grasped, not joyful, not hateful, not peaceful, not pacifying, not destroyed, not indestructible, not coarse, not subtle, not long, not short, without middle, without end, without beginning, without destruction, without limit, without happiness, without unhappiness, without knowledge, without action, without abandoning, without taking, without touching, without showing.
