Then, Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta said this to the son of the gods, Light Banner: "Sons of the gods, come here! We will go to the buddha-field of the Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Entering Desire King Buddha, in order to see that Tathāgata, to pay homage, to make offerings, and to ask questions everywhere. Because of the profoundness of the profound, the doors of the Dharma that are practiced will also be taught from there, and those should also be listened to." Then, the son of the gods, Light Banner, said this to Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta: "Mañjuśrī, if you know that the time has come, then please go!" Then, Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta, with a single thought of enlightenment, from the peak of the surrounding mountains, together with those sons of the gods, became invisible, and appeared before the Blessed One, the Tathāgata Entering Desire King. Then, Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta bowed his head to the feet of the Blessed One, the Tathāgata Entering Desire King, circumambulated him three times, and sat down on one side. Those sons of the gods also bowed their heads to the feet of the Blessed One, the Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Entering Desire King, and sat down on one side. Then, Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta said this to the Blessed One, the Tathāgata Entering Desire King: "Blessed One, may sons and daughters of good family plant roots of virtue well, and may they also endure the profound without doubt. May they also become vessels. Why is that? Blessed One, in this way, I have emerged from among the great elephants, and I have also emerged from such teachings. Blessed One, this sister who dispels doubt has not moved from anywhere in this place, nor has she been abandoned. I personally know that in a single morning, I go to countless buddha-fields in the east, as many as the sands of the Ganges River, and pay homage to those Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, and hold the Dharma taught by those Buddhas, and I also ask questions and request those Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, and the Tathāgata...

Those also prophesied to me when I asked. O Blessed One, I have not been banished to any place where Dharma is taught, nor have I been cast into other realms. All those Buddhas, Blessed Ones, know my thoughts and instruct me to teach the Dharma. O Blessed One, when I arrived at the summit of Mount Meru, I longed for the Dharma, thirsted for the Dharma, revered the Dharma, and greatly desired the Tathagata. Then I thought to myself: What is the cause, what is the condition, that I was cast from there to the summit of this Mount Meru, while the sister Tethom Selwa (Doubt-Remover) was not cast? O Blessed One, again I thought to myself: The Tathagata does not conceal the Dharma, nor does he have a mind of attachment, so is it because I am too small? Or am I not a vessel for teaching the Dharma? Therefore, I was cast there. I thought. Then, I should ask the Tathagata, why was I cast from there to the summit of Mount Meru, while this sister was not cast? When I made this request, the Tathagata, King of Entering Desire, said this to Manjushri, who had become a youth: Manjushri, there is no place where the Buddhas, Blessed Ones, teach the Dharma where you have not become a vessel. Manjushri, the Buddhas, Blessed Ones, are difficult to please, and they cannot always answer others' practice of the Dharma. Manjushri, when you first arose from the Saha world, you thought: Today, in the Realm of Universal Light, the Buddhas, Blessed Ones, will teach the Dharma called "Buddha Debate," and I will go there to behold the Buddhas, Blessed Ones, to prostrate, to make offerings, and to listen to those teachings. Manjushri, you left that Buddha-field with great courage, great aim, great thought, and great discrimination to behold the Buddhas. You thought to go and listen to the Dharma as well.

Ma! Manjushri, you are stained by three attachments, and you have come from that Buddha-field to this Buddha-field. What are the three? Namely: attachment to self, attachment to Buddha, and attachment to Dharma. Manjushri, if a Bodhisattva practices with attachment, there is no way to attain non-attachment. Manjushri, what do you think? Can the Tathagata be known or seen by anyone? Or, apart from the Tathagata, can any other Dharma be seen? Manjushri replied: World-Honored One, regarding the Dharma-nature of all Dharmas, we should not view the Tathagata, nor should we view the Dharma, nor should we view sentient beings. World-Honored One, if sentient beings are completely accomplished, and the Tathagata appears, if we can view the Rupakaya of the Tathagata, then we can also view the Tathagata. If the Tathagata can view others, World-Honored One, for what reason? It is for the reason that all Dharmas are unborn. Those who view the Tathagata do not exist there. The Tathagata has also never viewed anything. Why is this so? World-Honored One, all Dharmas are invisible. The World-Honored One said: Manjushri, with what kind of eyes and ears can one see the body of the Tathagata, and hear the Dharma and Vinaya taught by the Tathagata? Are there even the slightest eyes and ears that desire to see the body of the Tathagata and hear the Dharma and Vinaya taught by the Tathagata? Then, Manjushri, the youth, became silent. Then, in that Bodhisattva assembly, some Bodhisattvas thought: This Manjushri, the youth, has become silent after being touched on a sore spot by the Tathagata, it seems he cannot answer the Tathagata's rebuke. Then, the Tathagata, with the mind of entering the king of desires, fully knew the thoughts in the minds of those Bodhisattvas, and said to those Bodhisattvas: Noble sons, do not think like that. Do not give rise to contempt for Manjushri, the youth. Why is this so? Manjushri, the youth, possesses profound patience. The sore spot touched by the Tathagata has already been answered by Manjushri, the youth. Bodhisattva
