They said, 'Friends, the city we are going to is Pabi.' Then, thinking they were close, they felt that the town, city, or market was near. Knowing that it would become a refuge, they would breathe deeply. Then, when they entered that city, because they felt happy, their hearts became small, and they no longer wanted to go to another city. Then, that teacher thought, 'These beings are inferior, with weak diligence, content with this ordinary happiness, so I will make this city disappear.' Then, when they realized that the city had disappeared, they said to that teacher, 'Is that situation an illusion? Or a dream? Is it false? Is it true?' Then, that teacher, having heard them, said, 'Noble sons, this city was created by me through illusion to give you rest. We must live in the best great city, let's go to other cities.' They also said, 'How can we live in an ordinary city in a remote area? Let's do it that way.' Until they finished speaking, it should be understood as before. Again, he conjured up a great city, and it was the same there as before. Then, that teacher rescued those who were being led from that desolate forest in that way, let them breathe in that way, and placed them in that city. Then, when they entered that city, they thought, 'Could there be another, even more excellent city beyond this city?' Then, that teacher thought, 'These people want to live in this city.' Then, that teacher said to them, 'Friends, beyond this city, there is a very excellent and beautiful city, which is the most perfect of all cities, and there is no other city like that.' Then, those who were being led believed the words of that captain. They heard and saw the virtues of that city becoming more and more excellent, and then they said to that teacher:

O! Friends, let us all go together to that great city which is the most perfect of all cities. Then, the teacher said to them: Good! Let's go together with everyone. Then, when the teacher rescued those guides from that wilderness monastery, he said to that great crowd of people: Sons of good family, now you will see the omen of that great city, and that great city, and the city full of happiness. Then, the teacher rescued those guides from that wilderness monastery, and let them breathe, and pointed out that city from afar, and also said: Friends, look at the omen of that great city. There are great crowds of people, lands, regions, and the enjoyment of those who live in that city is prosperous and flourishing, and after seeing that great city, their hearts are joyful and satisfied, and they look at each other's faces and are amazed, thinking, is there another great city as clear as this one? Then, the teacher said to them: Friends, this great city is particularly excellent and clear, surpassing all cities, the city within the great city, full of happiness, constant, stable, peaceful, without aging, without death, always happy, continuously happy, and happy without interruption. In this way, he let them breathe, and also said, entering the great city within the great city, and when that crowd of people entered, he said again: Friends, this most supreme great city is the most perfect of all cities, and there is no other city beyond this city. Then, when they entered that great city, they were amazed and astonished, and very satisfied, they said to the teacher: O blessed one, possessing great wisdom, having great compassion, you are compassionate to us, you are so good, so good, giving praise, and then they asked the teacher again: O blessed one, what are all the cities that we have surpassed?

Is there now? Or not? The Teacher said: "Those called cities exist for the sake of breathing. If that place is empty, then the empty place is unnecessary, so it departs from there. What need is there to say, 'What is the need?' It is because the city is empty. The shape of the city, the walls, and the top floor, like the first emanation, those who understand the Hearer Vehicle are pure, like these emptiness sutras. Another is like the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, which is not clear. The Buddha himself is the clear liberation. Therefore, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, speak in three ways, teach three kinds of Nirvana, and also teach one vehicle. O Keeper of the Light, if someone says that there are no sutras like this, then his teacher is not me, and he is not my Hearer." They reported: "Bhagavat, in the Great Vehicle also there are many sutras that teach the meaning of emptiness." The Bhagavat said: "Whatever teaches emptiness, all of that should be understood as having a hidden meaning. Sutras like this unsurpassed one should be understood as not having a hidden meaning." O Keeper of the Light, again, for example, the last winter month of King Prasenajit of Kosala. When the last winter month arrives, the king gives to the dead, the poor, the destitute, the shramanas, the brahmins, and beggars of various castes, etc., jaggery, tsampa, ghee, rice, sweets, porridge, and all kinds of mixtures, and things made from all kinds of grains. When giving, some want porridge, some want sour things, and some want all kinds of mixtures. To all of them, all these things are given. Among them, some eat all kinds of mixed food. Some taste the flavor of peas, small peas, or lentils, etc., one by one, and then eat and drink bit by bit. Then, after that, their minds become confused, and then they say this: 'Whatever I have eaten, do not eat any of it again.' Then, there, the delicious food that is eaten warmly in one breath, is it a son of suffering? Is it birth? Is it a village?
