Again, they will only generate the perception of blindness. Shariputra, similarly, those monks who are arrogant, those other monks who hold the views of non-Buddhists, and those monks who are immoral, will not direct their minds to the profound enlightenment of the Buddha, will not have faith, will not be able to find joy in the dharmas of emptiness without characteristics, will not contemplate, will not enter, will not believe. They will say this: "Wise ones, you are also particularly fond of speech, having thoroughly entered the extremes of the true dharmas, you are not able to explain those dharmas well, and you do not know or see those dharmas by which one is truly designated as a renunciate." Therefore, it is like a blind person not seeing white and black colors, and so on. Shariputra, those who have entered the untrue extremes, like blind people seeking worldly gossip, delighting in crowds, particularly fond of speech, overcome by afflictions, immoral, and possessing sinful qualities, do not have the power to know, enter, believe, realize the dharmas of emptiness without characteristics, or to truly attain the qualities of a renunciate, because that is not possible. Shariputra, what do you think? Does a jackal roar like a lion? Will it roar? Will it play in the manner of a lion? Will it subdue in the manner of a lion? He replied: "Bhagavan, it is not so." Why is that? "Bhagavan, in this way, lions and jackals are different in color, strength, roar, and subduing." "Bhagavan, the nature of a jackal is that of a jackal, it only makes the roar of a jackal, it only makes the sound of a jackal, it only makes the cry of a jackal." The Buddha said: "Shariputra, similarly, those who are immoral, whose discipline is corrupted, whose conduct is disordered, whose conduct is diminished, who are arrogant, and who have fallen into arrogance, who think of themselves as superior, who teach impure dharmas, and the naked ascetics...

Engaging in frivolous talk, clinging to the meaningless, discriminating about the four fingers, prioritizing worldly defilements, delighting in speech, arising from busyness, possessing worldly defiled speech. Those cannot know, cannot enter, cannot realize emptiness, this is not possible. Shariputra! If there are monks who are elders, great elders, elephants, great elephants, lions, great lions, meditators, great meditators, possessing discipline, possessing higher vision, without object of focus, believing in the Dharma of emptiness, believing in the self-nature of all Dharmas as emptiness, selflessness, without sentient beings, without life, without persons, not delighting in busyness, without delight in busyness, not striving to follow the delight of busyness, not delighting in speech, without delight in speech, not striving to follow the delight of speech, not delighting in sleep, without delight in sleep, not striving to follow the delight of sleep, not delighting in activity, without delight in activity, not striving to follow the delight of activity, not engaging in making the boundary of household work, not acting as messengers, not delivering letters, not being doctors, not striving for the name of doctors, not striving for worldly defiled speech, not relying on worldly defilements, only speaking transcendental words, those believe that all Dharmas are empty, therefore there is nothing to do and nothing not to do. Those are satisfied with the true boundary, therefore they proclaim the true lion's roar, not the sound of a jackal. Shariputra! If there are monks who indulge in worldly defiled speech, abandoning the Buddha's words and speaking the secret words of other heretics, those in the Sangha, with the sound of Dharma, make the Sangha happy, such non-excellent persons are called corrupt renunciates. Why is that? Shariputra! Thus, in the Buddha's words, there is no worldly defilement. Shariputra! If there is a monk who is diligent in worldly defilement, at that time

Do not say that I am the teacher. Why is that? Shariputra, like this, the Shakyaputra monks do not hold the secret words of the naked ascetics, nor do they tell them to others, nor do they thoroughly reveal them in the sangha. Shariputra, those who do not diligently pursue the talk of emptiness, those should proclaim the lion's roar. They only make the sound of "wa". Therefore, those who are not noble beings cannot fully understand the ultimate truth. Shariputra, you should understand, you should comprehend. Possessing perfect morality, possessing perfect samadhi, possessing perfect wisdom, without greed, without attachment, without clinging, without hatred, without delusion, without hypocrisy, without deceit, possessing an upright nature, possessing a wise nature, speaking truthfully, speaking correctly, delighting in solitude, not delighting in sleep, abiding in emptiness, abiding in the signless, abiding in the wishless, abiding in the characterless, believing in the Buddha's teachings, not relying on worldly talk, completely guarding all precepts, completely abandoning all evil friends, completely abandoning all disturbances, initiating immeasurable diligence, abiding in mindfulness, those like that can fully understand the objectless dharmas of emptiness. Why is that? Shariputra, this place belongs to the noble beings, this place does not belong to those who prioritize worldly affairs, and to immoral practitioners, and to those who claim to be practitioners but are not. Shariputra, therefore, this is the place of the Buddha, it cannot be attained by those who are devoted to worldly talk. This dharma cannot be attained by those who possess completely impure dharmas. Shariputra, this can be attained by those who possess wisdom, not by those who do not possess wisdom, not by those who are mixed with the speech of the naked ascetics, not by those who cling to the self. Shariputra, if the self were real, then ultimately the imputation of the self would be real, and this self would be blue or yellow.
