Having heard that sound, at that time, near the place where the irreversible Bodhisattva was contemplating, there was a Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Supreme Intelligence. The king offered that cloth to him. He also said: Great King, I do not accept fondness for inferior things. If, Great King, you generate the mind of Bodhicitta for the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and for the sake of the equality of mind, you cherish the equality of enlightenment; and for the sake of the equality of enlightenment, the equality of mind; and for the sake of the equality of mind, the equality of dharma; and likewise, do not accept saying that all dharmas are equality; do not abandon; do not equalize any dharma; knowing that all dharmas are without ownership, therefore do not grasp as one's own. If you do so, then I may accept from you. Great King, offer this single fine cloth to the one who sees the body. Having said this, he also disappeared. At that time, near the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Supreme Intelligence, there was a Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Samadhi Fragrant Flower. The king offered that cloth to him. He also said: Great King, if you practice with all samadhis, and do not regard samadhis as different, and cherish regarding all dharmas as naturally equal, then I may accept from you. Great King, offer that single fine cloth to the one who sees the body. Having said this, he also disappeared. Near that Bodhisattva, there was a Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Inexpressible. The king offered that single fine cloth to him. He also said: Great King, if for the sake of the equality of the sound of letters, you know that all that is spoken by the mind of all languages is inexpressible, and rely on the meaning of the inexpressible, and do not rely on the syllables of letters, then I may accept this single fine cloth from you. Next to him, there appeared a great Bodhisattva, a great being called "King of Dharma Emanation," to whom the king offered the cloth. He said, "Great King, if you teach the Nirvana of the Hearers, but do not cause them to fully enter Nirvana; teach the Nirvana of the Solitary Buddhas, but do not cause them to fully enter Nirvana; teach the Unsurpassed Perfect and Complete Nirvana, but do not cause them to fully enter Nirvana; and are neither of the nature of Samsara nor of the nature of Nirvana, then I will accept from you."
