Everything is equal to that. Therefore, all dharmas are said to follow the realm of dharma. When this teaching was proclaimed, King Ajatashatru attained the forbearance that accords with emptiness. He rejoiced, was exceedingly delighted, and, with joy and ease of mind arising, folded his palms and said these words: "Manjushri, you have spoken well! My regret has been dispelled!" Manjushri said: "Great King, if all dharmas are utterly extinguished, then your saying that my regret has been dispelled is itself a great aim." The king reported: "Manjushri, all my obscurations have been purified. Why is that? Because the nature of mind is pure, it cannot be defiled by desire, hatred, or delusion." He said: "Great King, it is like this: for example, specks of dust, dust, smoke, darkness, thick fog, or clouds may appear in the sky, but the sky is not defiled by them. Great King, likewise, the latent tendencies of the view of self and what belongs to self, as well as desire, hatred, and delusion, may arise, but the nature of mind is not defiled. Great King, you should not regret this. Great King, mind has not moved from the beginning's edge. Great King, mind will not move to the final edge either. Great King, mind does not abide even now. Therefore, the wise realize that all dharmas are unmoving, unchanging, and un abiding. Having understood this, they do not cling to views. Great King, non-attachment is purity. Great King, all dharmas are endowed with the characteristic of purity, are stainless, and universally apparent. Great King, if there is no dharma, there is no imputation, and the Bhagavan has also said that there is no imputation. There is no dharma to be imputed to the path that is without fault. Great King, those who follow imputation are with obscurations and with dust. " The king reported: "Manjushri, all my obscurations have been purified. If in the meantime...

If the time of death arrives, I will not be reborn again. Manjushri said: Great King, to perceive all dharmas as utterly extinguished and to realize that extinction is your greatest aim. Why is that? Great King, all dharmas are utterly extinguished, they are unborn by nature. Then, King Ajatashatru, holding a silk cloth worth a hundred thousand, rose from his seat and offered that single silk cloth to Manjushri who had become a youth. As soon as he offered that single silk cloth to the body of Manjushri who had become a youth, from that time on, Manjushri who had become a youth made his body invisible. King Ajatashatru, not seeing Manjushri who had become a youth again, from the space above, a voice said: Great King, just as you do not see the body of Manjushri who has become a youth, look at that regret! Just as you see that regret, look at all dharmas! Just as you see all dharmas, look at that silk! For those who have not seen, it should also be viewed in the same way. Great King, offer this single silk cloth to those who see the body! After hearing these words, at that time, near Manjushri who had become a youth, there was a Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Yeshe Palgyi Gyaltsen (Wisdom Glory Banner). King Ajatashatru offered that single silk cloth to the Bodhisattva Yeshe Palgyi Gyaltsen, but he did not accept it and said: Great King, I do not even desire liberation, let alone complete extinction! Great King, I do not even accept ordinary beings, nor do I accept those who possess the dharma of ordinary beings. I do not even accept learners, nor do I accept those who possess the dharma of learners. I do not even accept Arhats, nor do I accept those who possess the dharma of Arhats. I do not even accept Pratyekabuddhas, nor do I accept those who possess the dharma of Pratyekabuddhas. Great King, I do not even accept the Tathagata, nor do I accept those who possess the dharma of the Tathagata. Great King, I do not even accept those who possess these dharmas.

Again, it is not, and it is not reversed from those, but it is taken from those, and it is taken as those are given. Great King, this giving is completely pure from both. Then, King Ajatasatru offered that single piece of fine cloth to the body of the Bodhisattva Banner of Wisdom and Glory. Then, on that seat, his body also became invisible, and a voice came from the sky saying: Great King, offer it to whomever's body you see. At that time, in front of the Bodhisattva Banner of Wisdom and Glory, there was a Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Fond of Serenity. The king again offered that single piece of fine cloth to him, and he said: Great King, I do not accept from the place of seeing "I", nor do I accept from the place of seeing "other". Great King, I do not accept from the place with afflictions, nor do I accept from the place without afflictions. Great King, I do not accept from the place of one-pointed mind, nor do I accept from the place of distracted mind, nor do I accept from the place with wisdom, nor do I accept from the place without wisdom. After saying this, the king again offered that cloth to his body, and on that seat, his body also became invisible, and a voice came from the sky saying: Great King, offer it to whomever's body you see. At that time, in front of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Fond of Serenity, there was a Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Unmoving Thought. The king offered that cloth to him, and he also said: Great King, I do not accept from the place abiding in body, nor do I accept from the place abiding in speech, nor do I accept from the place abiding in mind, nor do I accept from the place abiding in meaning, nor do I accept from the place abiding in aggregates, nor do I accept from the place abiding in elements, nor do I accept from the place abiding in sources, nor do I accept from the place abiding in consciousness, nor do I accept from the place abiding in the qualities of the Buddha. Why is that? Great King, all dharmas do not abide in a completely unmoving state. The king again offered that cloth to his body, and his body also became invisible, and a voice came from the sky saying: Great King, offer it to whomever's body you see, so he said.
