And abiding, following all wisdom, bearing the burden of suffering of all sentient beings, yet without being discouraged or despondent, knowing the nature of the Dharma, showing and proclaiming the nature, gladdening with the giving of Dharma without causing discouragement, not desiring the ripening of all the accumulated collections of roots of virtue, being undifferentiated from the root of the mind of all-knowing, having diligence in abiding in that root, not being satisfied with giving, and also dedicating it with the mind of all-knowing, not being satisfied with discipline, and also dedicating it to all sentient beings, not being satisfied with patience, and also seeking the form body of the Buddha, not being satisfied with diligence, and also accumulating roots of virtue, not being satisfied with meditation, and also practicing in a non-objective manner, not being satisfied with wisdom, and also examining in all places. Living by the enjoyment of the Dharma, and also being without fault in all places. Son of good family, what is called Dharani Dharani is the diligence that follows the Dharma for those Dharmas, therefore it is called Dharani. Son of good family, furthermore, Dharani holds all Dharmas. How does Dharani hold all Dharmas? It holds all Dharmas by emptiness, it holds all Dharmas by being without characteristics and without aspirations, being free from attachment, being solitary, being without things, being without difference, being without place, being unborn, not perishing, not coming, not going, not abiding, not truly arising, not moving, not fearing, not taking, not abandoning, being without self-nature, being without things, being without discrimination, being without various discriminations, being without establishment, being without self, being without sentient beings, being without life, being without person, being without elaboration, being without object of grasping, being without combination, not arising, not seeing, not hearing, not smelling, not tasting, not touching, holding all Dharmas by being without object, therefore it is called Dharani. Sons of good family, furthermore, Dharani holds all Dharmas by the nature of illusion, it holds all Dharmas by the nature of dreams and the nature of mirages, by the nature of mirages and the nature of images and the nature of sound images.

Just as the nature of space holds all dharmas, therefore it is called Dharani. Sons of good family, furthermore, Dharani holds all dharmas because of impermanence. Similarly, because of suffering, emptiness, selflessness, immutability by nature, absence of all afflictions, absence of purification, absence of attainment, and absence of manifestation, it holds all dharmas, therefore it is called Dharani. Sons of good family, for example, this earth holds all beings, yet it does not break, nor does it tire. Sons of good family, similarly, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who has attained Dharani, also for the sake of all sentient beings, in countless eons, holds the accumulation of roots of virtue of generating the mind for omniscience, yet it does not break, nor does it tire. Sons of good family, for example, this earth is the near sustenance of all sentient beings. Sons of good family, similarly, the Bodhisattva who has attained Dharani is also the near sustenance of all sentient beings. Sons of good family, for example, when one abides on the earth, grass, trees, shrubs, medicines, and all forests will grow. Sons of good family, similarly, when the Bodhisattva abides in Dharani, all virtuous dharmas will grow. Sons of good family, for example, the earth does not crave, nor does it hate, nor does it become arrogant, nor does it flatter. Sons of good family, similarly, the Bodhisattva who abides in Dharani does not crave, nor does he hate, nor does he become arrogant, nor does he flatter. Sons of good family, for example, the earth receives all streams of rain, yet it does not know satisfaction. Sons of good family, similarly, the Bodhisattva who abides in Dharani, even if he hears all the dharmas from the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, those who have gone rightly, and those who have entered rightly, he does not know satisfaction, nor does he know satisfaction when speaking. Sons of good family, for example, the earth holds all seeds, but it does not produce sprouts until the time and temperature have arrived. Sons of good family, similarly, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Dharani
