Then, the Blessed One gave praise to Angulimala, saying: Well done! Well done! Angulimala, well done! Angulimala, you, the Tathagata, Bhikshu Angulimala, come here! Bhikshu Angulimala, come here! When this was said, Angulimala, like an elderly Bhikshu, everything was in accordance with practice, and his conduct became dignified. Then, Angulimala bowed his head to the feet of the Blessed One, saying: Blessed One, I will follow thus. As soon as the words came out of his mouth, he attained the supreme fruit of Arhatship there. The Blessed One said: Angulimala, come here! In Jeta Grove, like a swan king, he will liberate countless beings. Then, the Tathagata, together with Angulimala, was led and surrounded by Shariputra, Maudgalyayana, Manjushri, and others. Just as the moon in the sky is surrounded by stars, the Tathagata rose from beside the Ashoka tree to a height of seven Tala trees in the sky. The distance from the place where the Tathagata and Angulimala argued to Jeta Grove was forty nights' journey, without the distance of an arrow shot. Then, Angulimala's mother, gods, nagas, yakshas, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas made great offerings and came to Jeta Grove. Then, the Blessed One, like a swan king, went to Prince Jeta's garden, the Anathapindika's Jeta Grove. The Tathagata sat on the lion throne. Then, the universe of the three thousand great thousand worlds became like the palm of a hand, as comfortable as touching a Kacalindika cloth, and the universe became like the Sukhavati. Then, the Bodhisattvas of all directions said: Today, the Tathagata Shakyamuni Buddha has unleashed the great lion's roar and the great Dharma, liberating countless beings and teaching the Dharma, we will be able to see the great being Angulimala. Fortunate ones, come today! Fortunate ones, come today!

如是散布，手指的鬘如雨般降临。那些菩萨从任何方向而来，从那个方向降下如车轮大小的零星花朵之雨。任何众生，凡是接触到莲花香味的众生，都变得没有烦恼。然后天、龙、夜叉、鹏、乾闼婆、紧那罗、大腹行、以及众多的天女，做了众多的天供，又真实地降下各种珍宝之雨，异口同声地以偈颂说了这些话：具足八十四相，拥有广大的功德，面容如盛开的莲花般美丽，礼敬眉间毫毛如星点般美丽者。圣者能仁，拥有七倍高大的殊胜身形，怀有最胜慈爱，持有众多利益的功德，面容如盛开的莲花般美丽，如同天空中的殊胜月亮，礼敬眉间毫毛如星点般美丽者。常善、无等、最胜、广大的功德具足，圣者能仁，被天人最胜者供养，面容如盛开的莲花般美丽，如同天空中的殊胜月亮，礼敬眉间毫毛如星点般美丽者。坚固善、无等、最胜、广大的功德具足，圣者能仁，被天人最胜者供养，面容如盛开的莲花般美丽，如同天空中的殊胜月亮，礼敬眉间毫毛如星点般美丽者。恒常善、最胜的广大功德具足，圣者能仁，被天人最胜者供养，面容如盛开的莲花般美丽，如同天空中的殊胜月亮，礼敬眉间毫毛如星点般美丽者。寂静善、无等、最胜、广大的功德具足，圣者能仁，被天人最胜者供养，面容如盛开的莲花般美丽，如同天空中的殊胜月亮，礼敬眉间毫毛如星点般美丽者。忍辱持戒，持有无边功德，礼敬手持指鬘的您。执持一乘，宣说大乘，怀有慈悲，礼敬手持指鬘者。执持无边身体，亦执持无边，执持无边语，怀有无边智慧，礼敬手持指鬘的您。

Thus scattering, the garland of fingers descended like rain. From whatever direction those Bodhisattvas came, from that very direction fell a rain of scattered flowers the size of chariot wheels. Whichever sentient beings touched the fragrance of the lotus, all those sentient beings became free from afflictions. Then gods, nagas, yakshas, garudas, gandharvas, kinnaras, mahoragas, and many daughters of the gods made many divine offerings, and also truly accomplished a rain of various jewels, and with one voice, in verses, spoke these words: Possessing the eighty-four marks, possessing vast qualities, your face is beautiful like a supremely blooming lotus, I prostrate to the beautiful urna hair like a star. Holy Sage, possessing a supreme form seven times taller, holding supreme love, holding many qualities of benefit, your face is beautiful like a supremely blooming lotus, like a supreme moon in the sky, I prostrate to the beautiful urna hair like a star. Constantly virtuous, unequaled, supreme, possessing vast qualities, Holy Sage, worshipped by the supreme of gods and humans, your face is beautiful like a supremely blooming lotus, like a supreme moon in the sky, I prostrate to the beautiful urna hair like a star. 无边光芒持，无边妙语宣，手持指鬘者，向您敬顶礼。无边幻化持，无边魔众调，持烦恼百俱胝，令其成熟者，手持指鬘者，向您敬顶礼。无边令永寂，无边示生相，随顺于世间，持胜勇士者，向您敬顶礼。此后，指鬘者向薄伽梵如是禀告：薄伽梵，我处于真实之边际。其义为何？薄伽梵，您处于真实之边际而安住，是何等之相？我处于解脱之地，如是宣说。若不应信此语，请宣说此中之理。薄伽梵开示：指鬘者，你与童子文殊一同前往。从此处向北方，越过如恒河沙数之佛土，于名为无喜之世界中，有如来、应供、正等觉，名为无生慧功德生处地自在王，现今安住、存活。向彼如来请问，薄伽梵释迦牟尼于娑婆世界，如来安住于不生之边际，是何等之相？此后，童子文殊与指鬘者禀告：善哉！善哉！以神足力如鹅王般前往无喜世界。趋至薄伽梵无生慧功德生处地自在王如来之处，以头顶礼如来之足，向薄伽梵禀告：薄伽梵，我等二人在此，乃是如来释迦牟尼从娑婆世界派遣而来。薄伽梵，如来释迦牟尼未入涅槃，于彼处安住，如何处于不生之边际解脱？

Bearing boundless light, revealing boundless eloquence, I prostrate to you, holder of the finger garland. Bearing boundless illusion, subduing boundless demons, Holding hundreds of millions of afflictions, causing them to ripen, I prostrate to you, holder of the finger garland. Causing boundless complete nirvana, showing boundless births, Following the world, I prostrate to you, holder of the supreme hero. Then, Angulimala said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, I abide at the limit of reality." What is the meaning of that? Blessed One, how is it that you abide at the limit of reality?" He replied, "I abide in the place of liberation." If one should not believe that statement, please explain the reason for it. The Blessed One said: "Angulimala, go with the youth Manjushri. From here, to the north, beyond world systems as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, in a world system called 'Inexhaustible Joy,' there is a Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, named 'King of the Earth, Source of Qualities of Inexhaustible Wisdom,' who is now living and dwelling. Ask that Tathagata, 'How is it that the Blessed One Shakyamuni, in the world system of Saha, abides at the limit of non-arising while dwelling there?'" Then, the youth Manjushri and Angulimala said, "Excellent! Excellent!" and, by the power of their miraculous feet, they went to that world system of Inexhaustible Joy like a king of geese. They went to where the Blessed One, King of the Earth, Source of Qualities of Inexhaustible Wisdom, was, and bowed their heads at the feet of the Tathagata, and said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, we two are here, sent by the Tathagata Shakyamuni from the world system of Saha. Blessed One, how does the Tathagata Shakyamuni, without passing into complete nirvana, abide in that very place at the limit of non-arising liberation?
