Because, from the nature of the knowable, there is no other knowing, so the nature of the knowable itself is knowing. The knowing of the nature of the knowable knows all dharmas. I abide in the wisdom without grasping, which is without the distinction of grasper and grasped, and I also place other beings in the wisdom without grasping, which is without the distinction of grasper and grasped, and thus one will attain the exhalation and inhalation. Among them, the non-grasping that is without the distinction of grasper and grasped is the nature of grasping. Why is that? Because non-grasping is not other than the nature of grasping, because from the nature of grasping there is no other non-grasping, so the nature of grasping itself is non-grasping. The wisdom of non-grasping of the nature of grasping makes all dharmas non-grasping. I abide in the wisdom without characteristics, which is without the distinction of characteristic and non-characteristic, and I also place other beings in the wisdom without characteristics, which is without the distinction of characteristic and non-characteristic, and thus one will attain the exhalation and inhalation. Among them, the non-characteristic that is without the distinction of characteristic and non-characteristic is the nature of characteristic. Why is that? Because non-characteristic is not other than the nature of characteristic, because from the nature of characteristic there is no other non-characteristic, so the nature of characteristic itself is non-characteristic. The wisdom of non-characteristic of the nature of characteristic makes all dharmas non-characteristic. I abide in the wisdom without meditation, which is without the distinction of meditation and non-meditation, and I also place other beings in the wisdom without meditation, which is without the distinction of meditation and non-meditation, and thus one will attain the exhalation and inhalation. Among them, the non-meditation that is without the distinction of meditation and non-meditation is the nature of meditation. Why is that? Because non-meditation is not other than the nature of meditation, because from the nature of meditation there is no other non-meditation, so the nature of meditation itself is non-meditation. The wisdom of non-meditation of the nature of meditation makes all dharmas non-meditation. Manjushri, these five methods of attaining exhalation and inhalation will completely purify the first ground of the Bodhisattvas. Manjushri, there are also other five methods of attaining exhalation and inhalation that will completely purify the first ground of the Bodhisattvas. What are the five? For example, I abide in the wisdom without ends, which is without the distinction of end and non-

I abide in the knowledge of the Middle Way, which is inseparable from the extremes. Others also abide in the knowledge of the Middle Way, which is inseparable from the extremes, and thus they will obtain the breath. Therein, the Middle Way that is inseparable from the extremes is the very nature of the extremes. Why is that? Because the Middle Way is not different from the nature of the extremes. Since the Middle Way is not different from the nature of the extremes, the nature of the extremes itself is the Middle Way. Knowing the nature of the extremes as the Middle Way, all phenomena are thereby the Middle Way. I abide in the knowledge of space that is non-space and inseparable from space. Others also abide in the knowledge of space that is non-space and inseparable from space, and thus they will obtain the breath. Therein, space that is non-space and inseparable from space is the very nature of non-space. Why is that? Because space is not different from the nature of non-space. Since the nature of non-space is not different from space, the nature of non-space itself is space. Knowing the space of the nature of non-space, all phenomena are thereby space. I abide in the knowledge of the son of Mośam that is not the son of Mośam and is inseparable from the son of Mośam. Others also abide in the knowledge of the son of Mośam that is not the son of Mośam and is inseparable from the son of Mośam, and thus they will obtain the breath. Therein, the son of Mośam that is not the son of Mośam and is inseparable from the son of Mośam is the very nature of not being the son of Mośam. Why is that? Because the son of Mośam is not different from the nature of not being the son of Mośam. Since the nature of the son of Mośam is not different from not being the son of Mośam, the nature of the son of Mośam itself is not being the son of Mośam. Knowing the son of Mośam of the nature of not being the son of Mośam, all phenomena are thereby equivalent to the son of Mośam. I abide in the knowledge of the mirage that is not a mirage and is inseparable from the mirage. Others also abide in the knowledge of the mirage that is not a mirage and is inseparable from the mirage, and thus they will obtain the breath. Therein, knowing the mirage that is not a mirage and is inseparable from the mirage is the very nature of not being a mirage. Why is that? Because not being a mirage is the nature of the mirage.
