Then Serzang Ö said to King Serdog: "Great King, if one possesses one dharma, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva will quickly attain unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment through the easy vehicle, and there will be no suffering or displeasure.

Not remembering the mind of the Buddha, not even in dreams remembering the mind that observes with the object and the subject. Great king, this is the conscientiousness of a Bodhisattva. Great king, a Bodhisattva who possesses four qualities will quickly realize unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Even if they completely give away their head, hands, feet, eyes, limbs, flesh, blood, bones, shanks, fat, complexion, skin, and their entire body, they do not need to completely give them away, and they will also completely give away all their possessions. They will also realize unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment through the path of ease. What are the four? Great king, a Bodhisattva is not unsteady in seeking all virtuous dharmas. Whatever root of virtue arises, they remain steadfast in it, possess a fearless mind, and are extremely steadfast in the Great Vehicle. Great king, furthermore, a Bodhisattva's aggregate of morality is extremely pure, praised by the noble and the wise, and possessed of being completely grasped by unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Knowing that they abide in morality, they experience the joy of Dharma. Great king, furthermore, a Bodhisattva abides in loving-kindness, is a meditator and a non-meditator. Great king, a Bodhisattva abides in and does not abide in samadhi, remembers all sentient beings, and possesses an equanimous mind. There is no other aspect of happiness like such a happy dwelling. Great king, furthermore, a Bodhisattva contemplates the Dharma as it is. They completely contemplate as it is in this way: all of these aspects of conditioned phenomena are empty. There is no self, no sentient being, no life, no person, no giver, no giving, no receiver, no one who endures, no one who is endured, no object of endurance, no agent, no reason for acting, no meditator, no place of meditation.

Whether it is any cessation, whether it is any meditation, whether it is any object of meditation, I think there is nothing. When one contemplates in this way as it is, one realizes that all conditioned dharmas are empty in nature, and one does not cling to any object of focus, and one abides in happiness. Great King, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who possesses these four qualities will quickly be endowed with all happiness and will awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Son of the lineage, in this way, that golden-colored king offered ninety-nine kotis of nayutas of hundreds of thousands of mountain-like garments to the Tathagata, and then said to the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha of Golden Light: "Bhagavan, for the sake of making all sentient beings rejoice, I have generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment." After saying this, at that time he spoke these verses: "With an unflinching mind, I speak these words before the best of men. Having generated compassion for all sentient beings, O Guide, my mind is inclined towards Bodhi. I have no deceit at all, O possessor of the ten powers, know my thoughts. O possessor of qualities, like the greatly renowned one, I have no power over other gods and humans. I shall be a refuge and protector for the suffering, and a friend, liberating them from the suffering dharmas. O supreme leader, abiding in happiness, I shall place beings in happiness. O Guide, whatever dharma the Sugata has spoken, I shall abide in it for the sake of practice. O Guide, just as you are worshipped by gods and humans, may I also become an object of worship for people. I shall seek all supreme enlightenment, and I shall give alms for many eons. I shall give food, drink, clothing, chariots, vehicles, gold, silver, and various jewels. O Guide, I shall respectfully learn the precepts, and I shall protect them as they are. I shall not degenerate, nor shall I abide in any (evil) place. O Guide, I shall purify my discipline. With an equal mind towards all sentient beings, with a loving mind towards living beings."
