In the center of that lotus, there also appeared a Tathagata's body, with a golden color and blazing glory, illuminating with light, adorned with the thirty-two major marks of a great person, beautified with the eighty minor marks, and seated in the lotus position. The light of that Tathagata's body illuminated the entire house. Then, the daughter Chandra Shrestha saw the lotus and also saw the Tathagata's body, and was joyful, content, and delighted. She felt great joy and happiness, and peace of mind, and then she requested the Tathagata's body with verses: You who possess such glory, are you a god or a dragon? Are you an Asura, a secret being, a non-human, or what? Please truthfully answer what I ask. Your body is golden and radiant, its measure is immeasurable. In an instant, the color is like golden turmeric, and quickly like crystal light. The body has no evil or defects, no consciousness, and the mind does not waver. Having seen your body, Protector, I have great joy. Your body is radiant like fire, more beautiful and sublime than a mountain. How do you hold and abide? From where did you come here, and where do you go? Then, the Tathagata's body replied to the daughter Chandra Shrestha with verses: I am not a god, nor a dragon, not a non-human, nor a Yaksha. I am Buddha Shakya Simha, and I was sent to you. I am not a god, nor a Yaksha, not a dragon, nor a non-human. I appeared today for you, as spoken by the Buddha who tames gods and humans. Then, the daughter Chandra Shrestha requested the Tathagata's body with verses: Buddha, Buddha, what I say, what is his color like, please tell me here. Please tell me his signs and shape, so that I may understand after hearing it. You have spoken the name of Buddha here, but you do not speak of his color, signs, and shape.
