Those are not like that. Said, "Great one, how do you subdue women with the form of a woman?" Then that woman, at that time, appeared as a man of twenty-two years old, wearing clean, thin clothes, adorned with male ornaments, appearing beautiful and pleasing to look at, with a radiant complexion, possessing all excellence, and then she said, "Venerable Subhuti, women are subdued by such a body of form." Then the venerable Subhuti said to that son of good family, "Are you a woman? Or are you a man?" He said, "Venerable Subhuti, are you an ordinary person? Or are you a student?" Said, "Son of good family, I am neither an ordinary person nor a student." Said, "Venerable Subhuti, I am the same, neither a woman nor a man." Subhuti said, "If you are neither a man nor a woman, how should I perceive you?" Said, "If the venerable one is neither an ordinary person nor a student, how should I perceive you?" Then the venerable Subhuti thought to himself, "Alas! This Bodhisattva possesses profound wisdom, and if I were to initiate questioning, he would in turn question me." Then that son of good family, having discerned the mind of the venerable Subhuti with his mind, then said to the venerable Subhuti, "Venerable Subhuti, you are not steadfast, for you are afraid of questioning. Venerable Subhuti, do not be afraid of questioning." Said, "I am an Arhat, one who has exhausted the outflows." Said, "Venerable Subhuti, what are those exhausted outflows? Are they the past? Are they the future? Or are they the present? As for the past, those that have ceased, there is no cessation in the past. As for the future, those that have not yet come, those also cannot be exhausted. As for those that arise in the present, those are impermanent, those also cannot be exhausted." Subhuti said, "Son of good family, I am not able to answer all the questions, and moreover, it is time for alms."

Therefore, after my time has passed, I go for alms. Then, at that time, that son of good family entered the bodhisattva's samadhi called "Universally Showing All Buddha Lands." As soon as that son of good family entered the samadhi, the venerable Subhuti saw immeasurable and countless Buddha lands. In some places, the sun was just rising; in some places, the sun was just warming; in some places, it was a small noon; in some places, it was halfway through the morning; in some places, it was the time approaching noon; in some places, it was the time for striking the ghanta; in some places, it was the time when food was just beginning to be distributed; in some places, it was the time when food had already been distributed; in some places, it was the time when they were eating; in some places, it was the time when they were just standing up; in some places, it was the time when they were washing their bowls; in some places, it was the afternoon; in some places, it was the evening; in some places, it was dusk; in some places, it was midnight; in some places, it was the time when dawn was approaching; in some places, there was no moon or sun, but they were endowed with their own light. Then, that son of good family said this to the venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, at what time do you take your meal? What time is it now? Subhuti said: Son of good family, I eat at this time, not at the time of other Buddha lands. Then, that son of good family at that time placed the sun, which had already set in the west, at the position of halfway through the morning, and in order to maintain it at the position of halfway through the morning, he manifested such miraculous powers. Then, that son of good family said this to the venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, please see what time it is now. Then, the venerable Subhuti saw it, and he was very convinced and did not feel it was long. Then, the venerable Subhuti said this to that son of good family: Son of good family, please tell me your name. That son of good family said: Venerable Subhuti, what use is my name to you? Rather, you should ask the Tathagata, and he will answer you. Venerable Subhuti, moreover, all names are without names. Why is that? Because all names are conceptual constructs and are not real. Whatever is a conceptual construct,
