Among this retinue, some understand that the Blessed One teaches us the words of discipline; some understand the words of patience; some understand the words of diligence; some understand the words of meditation; some understand the words of wisdom, the Blessed One teaches us. Some understand the words of skillful means; some understand the words of miraculous powers; some understand the words of aspiration; some understand the words of wisdom, the Blessed One teaches us. Some understand the words of the Hearer Vehicle; some understand the words of the Solitary Buddha Vehicle; some understand the words of the Great Vehicle, the Blessed One teaches us. Some understand the dharmas that cause beings to be born in hell, the Blessed One teaches us. Some understand the dharmas that cause beings to be born as animals, the Blessed One teaches us. Some understand the dharmas that cause beings to be born as hungry ghosts, the Blessed One teaches us. Some perceive the Tathagata's body as the color of a crystal wish-fulfilling jewel. Some perceive the wish-fulfilling jewel as the color of the king of power. Some perceive the wish-fulfilling jewel as the color of all lights gathered together. Some perceive the wish-fulfilling jewel as the color of the king of beasts, the lion with a mane. Some perceive the wish-fulfilling jewel as the color of the top of a lion's banner. Some perceive the wish-fulfilling jewel as the color of the pure ocean realm, adorned with jewels, radiating light in all directions. Manjushri, within this assembly, some perceive the Tathagata as the color of a wish-fulfilling jewel. Manjushri, whatever color, conduct, or form is necessary to tame sentient beings, Manjushri, the Tathagata is seen by sentient beings in that very color, conduct, or form. Manjushri, whatever Dharma teaching will completely ripen sentient beings, sentient beings know that the Tathagata teaches that very Dharma. Manjushri, whatever conduct will lead sentient beings to enter and be tamed within the Tathagata's teachings, sentient beings know that the Tathagata abides in that very conduct. Manjushri, if the eastern world realm were filled with immeasurable, countless, inconceivable, unequaled, unmeasurable, limitless, unspeakable, and again unspeakable gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, Indra, Brahma, world protectors, humans, and non-humans, just as in the east, so too in the south, so too in the west, so too in the north, so too in the southeast, so too in the southwest, so too in the northwest, so too in the northeast.
