The fearless one, the one who has become powerful, the one whose mind is completely liberated, the one whose wisdom is completely liberated, the knower, the great elephant, the one who has done what was to be done, the one who has accomplished what was to be accomplished, the one who has cast off the burden, the one who has attained his own benefit, the one who has completely exhausted all bonds of existence, the one whose mind is completely liberated by true knowledge, the one who has reached the supreme other shore of all minds. Just that, dwelling together with the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas gathered from the Buddha fields of the ten directions. Furthermore, surrounded and gazed upon by the glorious gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans and non-humans. Thus, the Blessed One, beginning with these six perfections, teaches the Dharma to the four assemblies. Then, the Blessed One spoke to the Venerable Son of Sharadvati: "Son of Sharadvati, for those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who wish to awaken to the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment, beginning with the perfection of morality, you should proclaim it." Then, the Venerable Son of Sharadvati, having received permission from the Blessed One, by the power of the Buddha, instructed and accordingly revealed the perfection of morality of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Then, the Venerable Gangpo, son of Maitri, said to the Venerable Son of Sharadvati: "Venerable Son of Sharadvati, how should one know that a Bodhisattva possesses morality? How should one know that a Bodhisattva has broken morality? What is the sphere of activity of Bodhisattvas? What is not the sphere of activity?" Having said this, the Venerable Son of Sharadvati said to the Venerable Gangpo, son of Maitri: "Venerable Gangpo, if a Bodhisattva abides in the mental activity associated with Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, this is not the sphere of activity of a Bodhisattva. A Bodhisattva who acts in this way should be known as one who has broken morality."
