Children are also burned by the fire of afflictions, Where there are no afflicted beings, There will never be a Buddha. Knowing the unborn dharma, engaging in various speculations, "We will become Buddhas," the children say. Whether the Buddha exists or not, the Buddha's dharma does not exist, When and who sees that there are no sentient beings, Who knows the nature of reality like the sky, That one will quickly become a supreme person. Whoever desires enlightenment, that one has no enlightenment, Like the earth and sky, enlightenment is extremely distant. Whoever knows the nature of reality as an illusion, That one will quickly attain Buddhahood. Whoever speculates about discipline, That one has no discipline; if seen, it is not discipline. Breaking discipline and the nature of discipline are one, Knowing this way, that one becomes a protector. Like some people in dreams, Enjoying desires, experiencing joy. Due to ignorance and delusion, they discriminate women, But there are no women there at all. Those who break discipline and children, Due to ignorance, completely discriminate what is not true. There is no breaking of discipline there, and there is no discipline, Knowing this way, that one becomes a protector. Because they do not fully understand the nature of sound, These childish minds are attached to names. Whoever knows that names are nameless, That one will obtain the supreme power of patience. Many beings vow to generate bodhicitta, They tell others this in words. Attaching to purity with words is not diligence, They dwell in a place completely covered by enlightenment. Attached to pure conduct and mistakes, Delighting in words and speech, but not skilled, If they do not fully understand the nature of dharma, They cannot achieve enlightenment with the purity of words. They utter the emptiness of all dharmas, Delighting in arguments, and fighting with hatred. For those who are undisciplined and harbor evil thoughts, Where can there be Buddha, dharma, and enlightenment? Evil thoughts and patience are of the same nature, Knowing this way, abandon anger. Because they do not fully understand the nature of beings, Those with childish minds generate anger. All beings are separate from me, The Victorious Ones say they aspire to liberate beings. They become angry just by talking about it, Holding hatred in their hearts, They do not give words, they fight.

Those who rejoice in disputes and seek faults in others, Also constantly proclaim the praises of their own patience. Those who claim that all phenomena are empty, Follow after errors with pride and arrogance. Those who are attached to food and bound by the knot of ignorance, Day and night think of the qualities of desirable objects. They say that gods, cities, and villages, Are liberated by many sentient beings. I have compassion for all beings, And likewise, I have altruistic intentions for all the world. With hatred in their hearts, they proclaim such, A nature of Dharma that is harmful in its aspect. The union of harm and compassion, Has never been seen or heard at any time. They are endowed with mutual anger, And aspire to be born in the realm of immeasurable life. In worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, There are places where striking and scolding can be obtained, But without fully cultivating supreme patience, They will not go to those Buddha-fields. How can one know which is a Buddha-field and which is not, And say that all Buddha-fields are of the nature of emptiness? Those who have no pride in the qualities of a Buddha-field, Those supreme beings will go to that Buddha-field. I can endure all misdeeds, And say that I intend to teach the sons of the Victorious Ones. But to have hatred for those who have the thought of a teacher, This I have never seen or heard at any time. They are attached to begging villages and friendly villages, And also find fault with each other's conduct. They say that this is my share to be ripened, Therefore, no one should go there. They say that there is no one like me, And also say that they have no pure conduct. Those unwise ones will never attain enlightenment, And there is nothing meaningful for them either. Three times during the day and likewise at night, They touch the feet of Bodhisattvas with their heads. One should not examine any of their faults, One should always indulge in whatever conduct they please. When they are seen enjoying desirable objects with joy, One should not examine any of their faults. With the conduct of enlightenment and limitless qualities, They will also attain enlightenment in the future. One does not become a Victorious One in just one lifetime, But attains it through the order of reasoning and the order of action. In countless hundreds of millions of eons, One attains it by donning armor, and not otherwise. Without concepts, discriminations, or attachment, I have also attained a desire for enlightenment like that.
