Constantly observing for the sake of enlightenment, in conventional truth, the teachings are inexhaustible. Mindfulness is like the ocean, samadhi is like Mount Meru, and patience is like the earth. In conventional truth, it is courageous for dispelling all discriminations. It is like the sun for dispelling the darkness of ignorance. It is like the moon for being extremely bright. In conventional truth, it is like the senses for gathering. In conventional truth, it is like Brahma for controlling the mind. In conventional truth, it is both unequal and equal for controlling the sky. In conventional truth, everything is followed, but in ultimate truth, there is no going, coming, or staying anywhere. Why is that? Because in ultimate truth, all phenomena are utterly unproduced. Son of the gods, the Blessed One, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, the Sangha of the Hearers of the Jewel Crest Tathagata is also like that, and even more endowed with inconceivable dharmas. When Manjushri, become a youth, taught this teaching in a non-objective way, five hundred monks, five hundred laywomen, and five thousand objective sons of the gods all requested, saying: Blessed One, may we also become Hearers of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, Jewel Crest Tathagata. Manjushri said: Friends, all those with objects do not arise in that Buddha-field. Friends, Bodhisattvas, great beings, without objects, arise there in a non-arising way. Friends, if you also desire to be there, then strive in the Prajnaparamita in a non-objective way. Friends, when you strive in the Prajnaparamita in a non-objective way, friends, it will not be difficult for you to obtain the wisdom of omniscience, endowed with all the best qualities, let alone being born in a pure Buddha-field. The son of the gods, the perfectly peaceful, well-tamed, and powerful one, again said to Manjushri, become a youth: Manjushri, Hearer

What is the discipline of the Shravakas like? What is the discipline of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas like? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, being disciplined by being frightened by the three realms is the discipline of the Shravakas. Accumulating all collections of virtuous roots and giving breath to all sentient beings, and being disciplined by being born intentionally in the three realms, conventionally speaking, is the discipline of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Hating all defilements is the discipline of the Shravakas. To subsequently discipline for the sake of abandoning the defilements of all sentient beings, conventionally speaking, is the discipline of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Knowing one direction is the discipline of the Shravakas. Knowing all the infinite and boundless realms of the ten directions, conventionally speaking, is the discipline of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Being indifferent to all demons is the discipline of the Shravakas. Stirring up all kinds of demons belonging to the infinite and boundless realms of the ten directions, and destroying all opponents, conventionally speaking, is the discipline of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Making one's own lineage clear is the discipline of the Shravakas. Making the lineage of all sentient beings clear, making the wisdom of omniscience appear, and making the vision of unobstructed wisdom appear in all dharmas, conventionally speaking, is the discipline of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Thinking with one's own mind is the discipline of the Shravakas. The intention of all Buddhas of the past, future, and present, conventionally speaking, is the discipline of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Like a broken stone that cannot be rejoined is the discipline of the Shravakas. Like broken gold and silver that can be rejoined, conventionally speaking, is the discipline of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Being separated from all the Buddha's teachings and skillful means is the discipline of the Shravakas. Being gathered by great skillful means and gathered into all the Buddha's teachings, conventionally speaking, is the discipline of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Being separated from the ten powers, fearlessness, unmixed qualities, and the wisdom of omniscience is the discipline of the Shravakas.
